Based on the dialogue about the parallel theory, an animal might be a human in the past life that So Bong mentioned with the servants, chef and the little girl in the kitchen, I still hold on the belief that Jang Bong Hwan is the future reincarnation of the Kim So Yong and they share the same soul. So instead of soul swapping, this drama is about body and gender swapping. So Bong might has a mindset like a man but her sexuality and need is based on her physical body, which is a woman.

There is a bit plot hole in this drama but the king and the queen characters and their slow burn romance development are amazing. Of course the main reason are because of Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun great acting skill and sizzling chemistry.

Usually the queen was depicted as second female lead that been rejected by her king and the main female lead is a concubine, fallen noble woman especially in Korean historical romance dramas so I'm glad this drama is about king and queen romance.

Other Korean dramas with king and queen romance that I remember were Lee Hwon (actor Kim So Hyun) and Heo Yeon Woo (actress Han Ga In) in Moon Embracing the Sun, second couple Wang Yeo Kim Sun (actor Kim Min Jae) and Kim Sun (actress Kim So Hyun) in Goblin, second couple Gong Min (Ryu Deok Hwan) and No Guk (Park Se Young) in Faith.

Yes there are some plot hole but Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun great acting skills and sizzling chemistry and also other talented support cast like the grand queen dowager, royal chef, the maid and servant of the queen, king's side kick carried this drama and make it work.

Mention about Chinese version, I admit it is really funny and entertaining but I still don't like that the emperor there had an affair with his brother's wife and there is also scene where the emperor slapped the empress because of that woman.

I had watch all of Shin Hye Sun dramas and although I enjoyed all of her other dramas because of her great performances and sweet chemistry with her male lead in there, Kim Jung Hyun is the best match for her in terms of great acting skills and sizzling chemistry so far.

I think that is also because the drama's script for their relationship development in this drama are good. They went from really annoyed with each other to deeply caring towards each other.

But I really want to see our royal couple make out again like in episode 9 T_T

Why would he acting about it?
He really fall in loves with her after she help him out of well, on his royal banquet and all their been through together.
He even confessed to her that he likes her.

So he is crying in happiness because she is pregnant with his child just like other husband that fell happy with his wife's pregnancy.

And wasn't Cheol Jong revealed to his eunuch that he knows he spying on him before?

A melodrama with Kim Eun Sook as the screenwriter with no romance and only 8 episodes?

This drama will start airing on Feb 15 2021, the next day after the final episode of Mr Queen and it also has 20 episodes like Mr Queen with 60 minutes per episode, yay! ^_^

Mr Queen final episode will be on Feb 14 2021 and River Where the Moon Rises will start airing on the next day, Feb 15 2021 on KBS2 channel.

This drama will compete with other historical drama on SBS channel, Joseon Exorcist, starring Kim So Hyun previous main male lead in The Tale Of Nokdu, Jang Dong Yoon when this drama is on episode 9 since Joseon Exorcist will start airing on March 15 2021 with slot Monday and Tuesday at 9 pm while River Where the Moon Rises airing on Monday and Tuesday at 8.30 pm.

I think Knetz will check out this drama on it first episode since Kim So Hyun is the main female lead and this is a historical drama. If Knetz like it, then it will slowly climb up to good ratings like Mr Queen.

I believe in Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo acting skill but a good drama depends on the actors and actresses and also the captivating plot so for their sake I hope the screenwriter wouldn't mess it up.

Since this drama is based on the original novel called 'Princess Pyeonggang' by a famous movie screenwriter, Choi Sangyu and it took 25 years for the novel to be completed, I really hoping this drama will get a good ratings or at least it will dominate the timeslot every time this drama is airing.

That is more fitting LOL

Prince Han Shuo and Princess Xiao Feng in one drama? YES PLEASE!

Actually I'm also hoping for Chen Xing Xu and Zhao Lu Si to act together in a drama in the future^_^

Now I feel more excited about this drama because romance drama with couple that been married because of forced/arranged/contract marriage is my favorite trope.

I hope the drama production will choose talented actor and actress as the main casts^_^

If you read the drama's plot on this page it mentioned that the male lead is a king in the name only aka the puppet king so of course he will fighting for the throne.

And even if the female lead's soul is from a chef in the modern time, the soul entered the body of a queen in Joseon time. In Joseon time meaning there will be a political plot.

Usually if the setting of a drama is in a historical time then it will definitely has a politics in the plot even if the drama started with comedy.

So my advice is if you dislike about political plot you have to skip the historical dramas.

Could anyone that had read the novel tell me whether there will be love triangle in here?

The screenwriter of this drama is the same screenwriter of one of my favorite drama, The Romance Of The Tiger And Rose with Zhao Lu Si and Ding Yu Xi. I'm more intrigued because I see the arranged marriage tag.

Anyone that already read the novel, is this novel about already married couple or they will only get married at the end of the novel?

It seems he will taste a ramyun for him specially made from So Bong in the next episode^_^

At the last scene the king give a secret signal to tell the queen "it is a lie" by using finger cross sign that the queen mentioned to him before in the episode 2. Maybe he replaced the real poison using fake poison or something that only put her to sleep.
