The setting for this drama is exactly what I want for my retirement. I have a very Hectic work life in the city and whenever I have day off or vacation, I tend to go out in Green places with forest and rivers and waterfalls and stuffs. That's my Happy place!
Also What I love about this slice of life compared to others is , There's no TRAUMA!!! FL lost her friend but she isn't traumatized or anything, she is just sad and in grief and that's normal. Usually you see these trauma near the end of other slice of life drama and for me that Kinda ruins the whole show!
There's nothing that's EXTRA or Exaggerated here, No Over-drama and Bullshit, No Angst. Its simple and mature and calm. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea But This is my all Time Fave!
I want this Pair in another drama with more Romance.. Don't get me wrong this was great but it was more of a tricking and playing with one another and getting what they want no matter how , more than a romance plotline.... May sound cliché but I want them in another romance heavy storyline!!

To name a few, I liked reply 1988, prison playbook, Misaeng, Hospital playlist, Go Ahead, My mister, even underrated ones like Dear my friends and Glorious days. and My all time Fave Asian drama is also a slice of life " Meet yourself" and yet I found RPB a tad bit boring...
so saying "It’s only boring if you don’t like slice of life." is completely Inaccurate.
To the Novel Readers out there, Since Historical and political genre is often met with tragedy, Does This one end in Tragedy? Please Spoil me before I start this

Totally Different from HP! Compared to 5 Main characters, This one MAINLY FOCUSES on our FL, OI yeong.
*There are 4 first year resident but Oi yeong gets around 60-70% screen time each eps. * Most of the Major cameos like, Jun wan , Jeong won, chu mina only interacted with O I yeong. ( Songhwa interacted with No one, seok hyeong interacted with Namgyeong and everyone) * Among the 12 eps , 10 eps ends with OI yeong in it.
So once you get used to the fact that It is indeed about Oi yeong and friends, you will find it abit entertaining. The Supporting Residents also have their own story though.
The start was WEAK for me! I see that lot of other people also hated our FL at first but she gets a good character development. What I didn't like and this is very unpopular opinion is bringing the romance very early, I'd rather they focus on friendship than romance of the FL. I mean I don't mind the romance but they pushed it too soon FOR ME!
Everyone has a good character development though, which is a plus.
