But with all due respect, I think LYF was perfectly casted for the role.
This is a very simple & mature drama with not so over the top thingy and I personally found her visual and acting fuse very well the storyline of the drama.


But going along with your comment of " Hongdou wasn't casted well"
Who would you have casted for that role?

Started Heavy But Happy ending.
But I should warn you,
If Slice of Life ain't your cup then you may not like it also it has slow burn romance . So If you aren't patient You could find it boring.

She is still not THE Main lead there, just one of the other main lead

Another Example of Nice boring Guys always finish Last!

Another Example of " the cheating( or close) trope is fine as long as the Main leads do it"

Another example of "It doesn't matter If the ML is Toxic as long as he's HOT" and yes, he was both!

Majority of People view this as sad because of ML's death

But I feel sad for Heung! who was BY FAR the best character in this series

He went Far and Beyond for her and that's not even what he typically does. From the very first meeting, how he consoled her tears , gave her sweets, loved her, cared for her, went against his family and Mom to Marry her. He was Dumb, too innocent and Naive but all his feelings for her were genuine. Never even doubted the guy when he came at her wedding and just accepted the lie when they told him he was from orphanage as well because he trusted her. Never ever made her cry or hurt her unlike the ML.

When she asked on the phone " would he still hold on that when he said he'd chase her if she ran away?" That was his signal to chase after her. Buddy doesn't even know how to cross the road properly . Printed out photos and asked everyone if they've seen her. Took away the police car and apologized 😂😂 Too honest, Informed all his details on megaphone. He Stood up against the Mob boss as well.
Went to such great lengths for her, only to see them kissing at sunset!

Didn't care about the fact that she cd never give him children. Didn't care about the food she made even though that wd upset his stomach. Even saved the guy. And when he found about ML's condition, the first thing on his mind was HER and HER only ; How traumatized would she have been had the guy just dropped dead and he had to see her suffer.

ALL THAT, Just for to end up alone.

GTFO. After being with the ML again , she didn't want Heung anymore. She already knew she wanted ML back because she had the chance to go back to heung when they were both out and police arrived but didn't do it. She could have been honest on the Phone and should have told him," I ain't coming back. Lets end it . I am back with my Ex again" But she didn't, She Strung him along still. All she said was " I am scared, I can't find my way back, I am scared of the consequence"
That's Cry for "HELP ME" 😂😂 That's not what you say when you wanna end things. Yes , yes her menopause condition was real but she was also using it just an excuse to Lie to herself so that things would End between her and Heung and He would finally leave them alone. But when Heung told her it didn't matter to him and he loved her despite everything. There was "worried " and "DAMN what do i do know" expression rather than Relief because at this point, she didn't want him anymore and she could have come clean even then and there but she still didn't.

Bottom Line: He got played So hard by both the Leads who didn't deserve that kind of treatment! I guess you cd say he learned a life lesson " Have some Bloody Self respect"


PS: Reverse the gender and my Opinion still stands. I am not for "Its okay as long as the Main leads do it and end up together even if it means hurting other".

I had put this aside for some time because I pretty much knew what the story was but I had to complete it just to Confirm so that I could Give my honest thought.

Don't listen to Naysayers. Just keep in mind that this is the era of song dynasty and Patriarchal, There are Prejudice against common women of low background and you can see tits and bits of this to make it look authentic and that's all there is to it. Before I started this I have read those same comments and clips that you're talking about. so trust me on this.

I see no difference here than I see in any other historical dramas. The society today is patriarchal and If we compared to the ancient time, Song dynasty in this case it was even more patriarchal. if we base it on that, we can say that almost all historical Cdramas if not all are Misogynistic. Because Harrasment, disturbing and Heavy Prejudice against Common women can be found in every other Historical dramas.

There's no misogyny. All of the MLs love their wives dearly. They are all strong Female characters. . I was very skeptical before I began this because I normally don't watch Multi-couple. But This one was Rather very well done.

When this series was announced , I was soo looking forward to it.
Two Eps in and I feel absolutely Nothing.
Let's see what the next two eps will be like. Might possibly drop it by next week.

Highschool romance is Not my cup of tea but I am tempted to watch this.
How is it?

As I said, After rewatching I stand Corrected. Many People Ignored it because it wasn't the Extreme level of Emotional cheating like sharing intimate details, Ignoring your partners, Talking to the other person constantly But nonetheless It still was EMOTIONAL CHEATING.

Its like saying I didn't physical cheat. I just made out , felt and touched his/her other body but we didn't have sex. 😂😂

"I still think she was more interested in the perfect idea of the guy, than the real guy himself. And she realized that at the cinema. That it was just an illusion."

What she realized at the Cinema was that the Pharmacy guy was nice to everyone. He treated everyone equally and It wasn't just her that he treated extra well.
When you're emotional cheating with someone, It doesn't mean the other person has to be emotionally invested in you as well and that's the case here. She was locked in for brief period of time but she later found out at the end that he never was. She found out that she had misunderstood his actions but her feelings and emotions that she felt were REAL.

From the very first moment of him opening her vizor, the feeling she got. Thinking of him, dreaming of him kissing . Reciting Corinthians 13:4 after she got excited when He touched her hands. Wondering why One needs to love only one person for rest of their lives just because of a contract. The panic she had when husband came in between and the hesitation she had when she had to introduce her husband. The sad look she had climbing upstairs when she revealed to the other guy that she was married.

On first watch I admit I had overlooked these but after rewatching I will say for brief period she was emotionally cheating. May not have gone to Extreme extent of sharing secrets and Ignoring your partner but nonetheless it still was.

If your spouse would you reveal all these things to you, how would you feel? and don't lie.

I didn't think much of it first but after rewatching , THAT for me twas emotional cheating.

She was thinking about him
Her voice getting all childish around him.
Dreaming about him
She panicked when her husband came between them and hesitated to introduce.
She was thinking why we must we love the same person for all life just because of a contract when she was around the pharmacy guy.

On second thought, I stand corrected

Not as the other Main lead but as THE ONLY MAIN LEAD!
Looking at her furture projects, it doesn't seem like she's getting one anytime soon.

I think she will do well in romantic slice of life series or a Wuxia.
