I watched LoveO2O, Gank Your Heart, and King's Avatar. And they all have very different charm point ~~

LoveO2O is mostly a romantic love story that happens to be between 2 gamers. And that love story is the strong point of the drama, as there is no usual cliché situation. No big bad in-laws, no evil second lead, no misunderstanding every 2 episodes (there is, but only for the secondary couple, and it is the worst point of this drama).
It does feel unrealistic how PERFECT the main couple is, but it's refreshing, and it's only a drama, after all. I think that people who dates after 300 thousands misunderstandings bc of miscomunication is an incredibly urealistic thing, too.
So it's an easy drama, refreshing, and no-nonsense.

Gank Your Heart is a lot more gaming than LoveO2O, but it's still a very romantic driven drama. If not for the e-sport element, it's a very common c-drama, with misunderstanding, bad parents, betraying friends, rivals, unnecessary angst, and love triangles everywhere.
But it's a very well-done drama. The characters are charming, the secondary cast didn't feel like too much, the acting was good, and the e-sport story was nice.
So it's good love stroy, with a good e-sport setting.

King's Avatar is a very different C-drama, there is no romance. There are female main characters AND males main characters, but there is no one that is treated as a convenient love story.
So King's Avatar is a breath of fresh air, that's for sure. And bc half of the drama isn't used for romantic main&sub plots, the e-sport aspect is 100% of the drama. And it's well done.

Finally, Gank Your Heart is the most common of the 3, but it's a good drama. If you're new to c-drama, it's a perfect one, that you can enjoy without problem.
And the other 2 are perfect for c-drama veterans. One bc it's not everyday with see drama without the usual angst and misundertsandings of a couple. The other bc there's no romance, and it is SO rare for c-drama (and k).

I'm not really a fan of the 1st episode... Maybe bc I was expecting really good things?
It's just... It feels a little too much. And "over the top" doctors are a common thing in dramaland, but Idk what to think about an "over the top", and reckless PSYCHIATRIC.

The way the patients were treated in the 1st episode were so... wtf. He's supposed to be an experienced doctor, but he's WAY too dangerous. The ML seems to take himself for a god, or something? He must know that the patient could hurt himself or others. After all, the cop-patient was very physical with the FL, and atthe end hurt her, maybe not in a physical way, but still greatly hurt her.
So the patient WAS dangerous (to the FL) and to himself (bc they said that he was very agressive to a sex offender). And the ML let him go freely in a disillusionnal state of mind?

I'm maybe a little harsh with my critic, even though it's just the first episode. But Korea isn't the most open-hearted country about psychiatry, and making such an over-the-top drama, that begins with an enormous medical error, that ends up with a big incident for an innocent person.... I'm really disapointed.

Yeah Maybe I was expecting too much.

I wish they would put a warning in the beginning for the flashing lights/colors - just in case anyone is sensitive…
I'm not even sensitibe to ights/colors, but I though my eyes were going to burn.

They really need to put a warning.

i actually dropped it long ago. You guys making me think time for a retry. Probably the translating team in my…
I dropped it years ago, too. But bc of the quarantine, I picked it up, and I wasn't disapointed.

It's not THE masterpiece. But it was funny and cute. ^^

It was a really good KR movie! I was surprised!
It's always a little frustating to watch the characters like we're at ep 10 when we're at ep 30, but anyway, the story was touching & action-packed (even though full of plot holes when ZiO has something to do, but I'm used to it at this point).

I'm not a big fan of ZiO, so I was a little scared, but Aruto was so good I forgot everything else.

Yep !! Really solid KR movie!

I will not defend The Heirs which is the weakest LMH drama in my opinion (from a personal dislike to the love…
"personnal hatred" wow, that's a little harsh. No, a lot. I don't have a personnal hatred against any actor in this world, I think.
I already explained what I didn't like, and it's not only LMH, even though he's part of it. There really is not a lot of dramas where just an actor can make myself don't like it.
If it's just one actor, then I just kinda skip his scenes, and there are always good secondary characters. I watched all of The Heirs, even if BOTH leads were horrible, so just LMH wouldn't make me drop a drama.

I'm not saying that The King is better than The Heirs, but I actually expected something from TK. At least good acting, good characters and entertainment, bc that is what the writer is famous for. And that is why I enjoyed her other shows.
But here, even Kim Go Eun, who I love, is ..... I don't know. Not convincing?
And the plot, Mr.Sunshine was so much well written than all of her other shows, so I don't know how it came to this. At least, even if the plot writing was meh, the dialogues were funny and entertaining, the chemistry sparkling. But here, it was sacrificed for a more serious(?) atmosphere that doesn't go well at all with the "too-much" that is happening.

I don't know what more can I watch to find it not obscure like you, when I already watched all of the episodes that are out.

PS: Arrrrrrrrrgh!! You can't imagine how hard to was to reply!! My comment was always cut, so I had to delete, edit, re-write, delete, edit, re-write. I was going crazy !! Sorry if there was thousand of notifications ... --'

I forced myself to watch the first 4 episodes, but I'm done. Even the end of ep 4 didn't convince me, or even interest me.

The acting of the lead is poor, the romantic chemistry non-existent, the characters one dimensionnal at best, the show takes itself way too seriously, and OMG it feels like the drama is screaming "I AM A SMART AND WELL THOUGHT DRAMA" when it's... not.
Being obscure and frustating isn't intelligent.

I though (prayed) for this drama to reconcile me with Lee MinHo after the traumatic experience that was The Heirs, but it's a big fail.

Bong JoonHo? I don't think it is, though?
But it's by Jang Hang Joon.
Are you sure you're talking about "Forgotten" with Kang HaNeul?

Just to be sure, I double-checked with google, but kisskh isn't wrong.

though I agree, it'd be worse to cast young actors to play the older versions xDeven though Greg Hsu was great,…
I agree ! It reminds me of The Heirs. They were supposed to be all the same age, but it felt like some of them had 10 years of difference XD

Maybe for those actors, but there are a lot of cases where they can do it.

If the drama's team do some efforts to not JUST put glasses on actors, or change hairstyle, but really change the way they move, talk, and maybe adding some white/grey hairs, and wrinkle if you're going for really old?
I saw a lot of dramas doing it successfully.

I would prefer seeing a 23 yo doing a 18 & 30 yo. More than a 30 yo playing a 18 yo & 30 yo.

Alice Ke is 35 and she made it believable so why not a Korean actress.
I don't agree ^^'
It was pretty cringy, too. Same for Go Go Squid.

Is it similar to "A Piece of Your Mind"?
The atmosphere is pretty similar. But the story and characters are not similar.

The site is kinda weird these days. It's 9.2/10 for me ???
The ratings.
They're always weirdly changing, and sometimes, the ratings I see are differents than the one others see.
