Maybe I'm misunderstanding because of your way of talking, but you really sound agressive. I would have just took your comment as "oh, he/she has a different opinion, nice, we can exchange!" but you tried to transform what I said into something totally different, so no. No exchange with someone who can't express his/her opinion without accepting that someone can think something different (is that such a crime for me to think darker than rom-com j-drama are the best?).

I though the comment section was to express my personal opinion, but I must have been wrong.
I think that "darker than rom-com" J-drama are the best, why are you trying to deny my opinion? Did I said that every opinion against mine was wrong? I only expressed my taste in genres, so why are you so agressive?

What is a shame is exactly what I said : "viewers doesn't watch more serious drama, and just go for rom-com". A vast majority of international viewers don't even try to watch something else than rom-com for J-drama, even though they would go for darker K or C dramas. And I think it's a shame, especially because Japan is incredibly good at making darker dramas.
I never said it's bad to like them. And I never said that it's bad to not "share my personal preference" either. If I thought that, I would have written it, so please do not make it sound like I said something like that.

So something darker than rom-com is obviously "pain, misery, violence and death"? You go from one extreme to another, it seems.

I would like for international viewers to open themselves to another type of dramas than only rom-com, without throwing away this type of drama (I watched every single drama in this top 10, and NigeHaji is one of my favorite dramas).
And I think Japanese darker than rom-com (it is not difficult to find) dramas are amazing (darker =/= darkest), so I think it's a shame that a lot of people don't watch it, even though I know it's not because people don't like the genres like police drama, slice of life, medical, dramatic, mystery, etc...

I understand that you misunderstood my comment, but before being agressive, you could have asked me question about my comment, and not assuming things in a twisted way. + this site is VERY international , for future experience : assume that for everybody, English is not their first language, and ask questions before being agressive.

They're funny, cliché and cute, but Japan darker drama are the best.

Happy I'll say, the movie in itself isn't really sad.

Saw the 2 teasers for the main characters. Ryoma's one is... SO HOT.

The first episode was amazing. I loved he characters, actors… It seems like a drama (as in dramatic, not asian tv show) but the atmosphere wasn't too heavy or forced. It was lightly sad, and that was perfect.
It reminds me of Just Between Lovers.

This is really a drama you watch for the characters, the story doesn't follow at all after the 10th episode or so. :/

A dark, slow drama about a shogi player, and his master.

Beautiful. Not for everybody, it's A LOT more about shogi than mystery around the murder. And it's very slow, but beautiful.

Like the way both main characters fall in love with the person that helps them when they're at the bottom of their life. Or when Toko refuse to divorce her husband who stuck with her when she was a her lowest. Or the fact that when she's happy whith her daughter, waiting for her husband to get out, she doesn't HAVE TO suddenly have an affair with her ex-boyfriend who has a girlfriend.

Idk. I liked it. It was sad, yes, but I liked it.

I'm feeling alone here actually liking this drama. X'D

It's not really happy, nor a romance story. It's about 2 people and their life. It's very slow paced, while covering a long timeline. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the story is, too.

But I can understand it doesn't stick with everybody, 'cause it's not an "obvious" story. It's not a fairy tale where the characters while chose the way that please the viewer, but will choose the "realistic" choice.

Just a special episode, I think.

It will be about the killer childhood and how he/she became like this + the ending of the show.

Waaah. I cried so much at episode 20.

But i almost had a heart attack at the end, with the cliffhanger. I though the drama would end like that.

Not surprised but surprised by the murderer! Still loved it though.

I wasn't a fan of ZIO but if it's a movie to explain one of the big loose end of the drama, then I'm in.

So happy to see BUILD releasing new stories. It's one of my favorite Kamen Rider serie. ♥️

Physically-wise, I don't think it fits, except for Momose, and Ko.

Hirotaka is supposed to be very handsome, unlike Kabakura who has a scary face, but here it doesn't fit. And Hirotaka is taller than Kabakura.
Momose is cute, petite and pretty, and Koyanagi isn't as pretty as Momose but has an amazing body, doesn't fit here too.

Nao is … okay. I think. But it depends on Hirotaka's actor. Because they're supposed to look like each other and Nao has a very gentle face (I think Hong Bin is too masculine). Ans Sakuragi is supposed to look like a boy… Yeah, maybe Kim Sae Ron is good.

I watched it on a LoveTvShow, a chinese website (I think). The episodes are japenese sub chinese.

The first season was amazing, the 2nd was a little weird cause of the old backstory. Then the 3 movies were really good.
And then THAT. I love it !!! They're so handsome, the old Oya cast is here, and "THE WORST" and "CROWS" universe are good, too.

And, the best is, TSUKASA IS PERFECT. I already love him.
