Is 8.4 too low or too high for this drama?

I just checked Douban. From 7.6, LYF now has a 7.7 score. I hope it will increase more. :) https://movie.douban.com/subject/25785216/

I hope they'll announce the official list of actors soon!

It might sound funny to foreigners but it is one of the reasons why a lot of actors in China have had their careers cut short.

Tax evasion is a serious offense in China. Even A-list actors can get their careers cut short if they are reported to be doing it.

Hmm, he's the second male lead here. So he'll have enough screen time.

In the anime, the focus is only on the FL and the men who covet her. I think they added another woman's character to be the partner of the ML's brother but that's just my speculation.

In the anime, she doesn't have any romantic feelings for anyone until the last few episodes.

- In the novel, she only allowed herself to be with the emperor when she was in her 30s. She is a career-oriented woman. Love is very far from her mind.

The character Sa Sakujun aka Cha Shuo Xun will appear in episode 23.

No, the anime did not cover the whole novel.

No update yet on what will the cdrama covers.

I hope all of the Deng Wei fans from China will constantly remind him to pay his taxes. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

Thanks!

That's all we have to do. 🤧

So sad that LYF S2 will be airing later than what's expected from it. So as a new fan of DW, I'll have to wait for another year to enjoy his performance on my TV screen, and I'm like Xiao Yao, who doesn't like waiting, but for him, I'll make sure to be as excited as I was today as I will be next year. I hope by then he has built a stronger fanbase. I'm also hoping and praying for zero scandals to come his way. 🙏

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm muting that acct on twitter and will ignore it on fb.

♥️♥️♥️

It's confirmed we will have to wait next year for season two. 💔
