Major rant incoming Did this entire team of writers and editors and director(s) (crawl out from some fan-fiction cesspool academy or what? (I’m excepting the action director) how could they demean the vindication of the Weibei army by sandwiching that heartbreaking final farewell between the Weibei general and the ghosts of his men - between (1) histrionic cp theatrics and (2) a tacked on (undeserved) mercy execution ..?!
She was there to execute him but they grew up together so she definitely has deep affection for both brothers.…

Hands down, the most moving and powerful scene in this entire series so far. If this was the revenge and redemption story they could have written, this is where and how they should end this drama.

Well said, neither brother deserves her, i think. I nearly gave up on this series by Ep 11 seeing the cavalier way Jinghe continually treated her loyalty to him🤔 that antagonism from him toward her is something unexplained and underwritten i think, given how close they were as children and teens. Really needed someone to smack him hard by Ep 11.. then Meilin well and did it in Ep12 😁. Not gonna lie i straight up punched the air all night after i watched Ep 12!

Thks :) the actor playing Yueqin (Bi Wenjun) is doing a good job, it’s not easy to play a tall, seemingly awkward and meek character with a youthful hesitant voice and yet he carries off the sense of quiet determination very well in the way delivers his lines when confronted with people seemingly more aggressive than himself.
