Thanks for such a fast response! I prefer to wait for all eps of a drama to drop before checking it out. This drama i put in my watchlist because i’d read up earlier on the character Deng Kai was to play (Qi Min). From various comments here and elsewhere he seems to have done a good job :) I prefer to watch stories that are well constructed and told, and much appreciate your reply as i will try to follow it when i start my watch proper of this story.

Just curious, posing a scriptwriting question to you - What did you think was the actual spine of this story?

Delurking to say - these are are NOT fans, they are papparazzi and pseudo-papparazzi incentivised to invade privacy and try to wear down and push their target into a sensational (awkward/uncomfortable) situation so that they can sell those images/clips. Actual Fans call , wave and hold out well wishing cards , letters etc.

👋i’ve quietly followed your reviews on dramas i’m interested to watch and just want to say thanks here :) and a small recommendation, i hope you can get to watch ‘Broken the Heart’ sometime. That 2024 mini with Deng Kai leading was a quietly powerful indicator of what Qi Min was going to be in his hands. :)
