Launching K-Drama_generic.exe: rich, arrogant, insufferable ML, poor FL tasked with installing a heart in him, and the inevitable “family schemes for control of the company” DLC, recycled for the 847th time.
Originality detected: only in the initial concept.

When a good man makes a mistake, the mask comes off: he finally reveals his true face. When a bad man does something good, the mask comes off too: he finally reveals his good nature.
Convenient logic: the first is judged by his worst action, the second by his best.
I just read something insane in the comments. Someone basically said, "If it hadn't been for the recording, he would never have known. It's normal to hide things from your partner."
Seriously?? Am I the only one wondering what the words "loyalty," "trust," and "honesty" even mean to some people anymore?
You know, it annoys me because the basic premise is really interesting: a couple whose relationship is running out of steam after ten years, how they're going to manage to overcome that, or whether they even will... There was so much potential to do something really compelling with it.
Even the cheating storyline is frustrating, but plausible. I was thinking, "Come on, ML, don't let her walk all over you!" And then... nope.
I started watching the drama a few days ago, so I don't know exactly what people were saying at the time, but I'm quite surprised that some thought Ho was going to cheat. Personally, I didn't see anything that really pointed in that direction.
As for the alcohol, Mi-do does say, "I was drunk." It's an understandable reaction on her part, but watching the scene again, I still get the impression that she's fairly aware of what she's doing.
When it comes to understanding Mi-do better as the episodes go on, I actually find that interesting. **But I think we need to distinguish between two things: understanding the reasons behind someone's behavior and excusing that behavior.** We can acknowledge her frustrations, her suffering, and her struggles without necessarily considering her decisions justified or believing that their consequences should disappear.
That's the distinction that matters most to me, especially when it comes to infidelity and broken trust.
Personally, I really liked the drama up until episodes 5 and 6. Even the infidelity didn't particularly bother me as a plot point. I simply thought it was a difficult situation, but one that could lead to some interesting character development.
It's more what happened afterward that left me puzzled, particularly Ho's passivity and the difficulty Mi-do seems to have taking responsibility for her choices. For example, when he tells her to go see the lawyer, she actually ends up going, even though she could also have chosen to distance herself from him.
I don't doubt that the upcoming episodes will provide more explanations for her behavior, and I'm curious to see them.
But ultimately, **it's not the plot twists themselves that bother me, it's how they're handled.** I appreciate a drama that tries to help us understand its characters, but I'd also like it to hold them responsible for their decisions and give real weight to the consequences of those decisions.
To me, the two are absolutely not incompatible.
For now, the problem is that, apart from feeling a little guilty, Mi-do doesn't seem to face any real consequences for her choices and actions. Things are going relatively well for her, despite what she's done.
Je surkiffe cette section commentaires ! J’ai pu y lire deux choses :
