What do you mean by that?Sorry, my English isn't very good, and I'm not sure what that means haha
Il y a toujours un risque qu’ils finissent ensemble. Mais bon, attendons de voir où dérive ce Radeau de la Méduse… À ce stade, je ne suis même plus sûr qu’il y ait quelqu’un à la barre.

Which is?
Yeah, I've already said several times that I've completely lost interest in the FL and the SML. They can do whatever the hell they want, as long as they leave the ML alone XD

Cheating itself is something that exists. It happens every day, for all sorts of reasons. So I have absolutely no problem with a drama addressing the subject. It's even a perfectly legitimate plot twist in fiction.

What bothers me is how it's handled: when the script tries to excuse cheating with flimsy justifications, or even portray it as something positive. And on that point, I agree with you. I find that approach downright sickening.

And in this drama, the consequences are so minimal that it becomes problematic. The FL has even managed to benefit from it: she got herself a free pass to fuck around…

Yes, I see what you mean about the butterflies.

She’s blown up her life on purpose and almost got herself killed. There’s a term for “losing your spark”…
That's one of the reasons why many people no longer find the drama realistic or well-written… The characters' choices, decisions, and actions seem to be driven mainly by the needs of the plot, with the sole aim of reaching that infamous "open relationship."

Oh, I didn't know they had such a problem with population decline.

Do you think this kind of drama could have a significant influence on how people perceive romantic relationships, or even on their life choices? I wonder how much of an impact it can actually have.

Merci de ta réponse.

You need a fully developed frontal lobe just to comprehend this show lol Clearly, grasping basic story nuance…
I'd be really interested to hear your point of view and find out what I might have missed in the drama.

I really feel all this being played by female character does give a little advantage, i cannot exactly pin point…
If you look at female characters, whether FLs or SFLs, in rom-coms, you'll notice that a noticeable proportion of them benefit from a certain degree of being absolved of responsibility, whether in the drama itself or in the audience's reactions.

In these situations, it's never really their fault: responsibility for their actions often ends up being shifted onto someone else, usually a man. Given the audience these dramas generally target, that makes sense.

And in the end, we get Mi-do, a character who is admittedly suffering psychologically, but whose actions seem to be systematically excused and who faces almost no real consequences. At least, by episode 8, I struggle to see what she's actually lost because of all her bad choices. Even her infidelity seems to have ultimately allowed her to get herself a fuck buddy…

On the other hand, when it's a man, even the slightest misstep can sometimes be enough to make him the king of bastards XD

Look at Ho: all he has to do is talk to the SFL, and he's already being called a cheater ^^

The FL will be even more excited, she'll want to f**k him even more, and she'll ask the ML to help her protect…
More seriously, I think the lawyer will end up with a rather bad fate one way or another, but somehow, he'll be morally redeemed in the eyes of the audience…

2ML's career is tanking, since he had a falling out with his 'boss'. Many of his clients have been cancelling…

I can't help thinking that, so far, the moral of this drama is: "Be unfaithful! If you're a woman, you'll be supported, absolved of responsibility, and, as a bonus, you'll be allowed to see other people while keeping all your little comforts!" XD

I'm not even watching this, I just scrolled through the comments for a bit and I also feel rage baited by Lee…
That's how I started out, then I thought to myself, "Come on, watch it anyway, so you can properly tear the drama apart." At first, I was pleasantly surprised, against all expectations… But since then, it's been going downhill fast. In the end, the drama is giving me every reason to tear it apart XD

I did expect cheating but its the hypocrisy of FL everyone is awe of.
Same here, and I'm really waiting to see how the drama is going to completely absolve the FL of responsibility and blame the ML for all the problems XD

Guys just i seen the interview of fl and ml the answers gave away the ending 1)To all the fans who will be watching…
You know what your post makes me think of? I have a feeling that, one way or another, they're going to end up putting all the blame on the ML. I don't know why, but I can sense something coming along the lines of: "She's been sacrificing herself for him all along," or something like that…

Just so that, once again, they can avoid portraying the FL as the one in the wrong and make all her actions seem like consequences of the ML's behavior… We see this kind of treatment (far too) often in K-dramas: they always end up absolving female characters of responsibility.

Episode 8 rating?
The script is falling apart a little more just to maintain the concept they're aiming for: this pseudo-opening of the relationship to "understand their feelings"…

I feel like they're trying to present a somewhat toxic concept as something "normal". Even though there are other solutions, like seeing a couples therapist, but oh well…

And I also think it's done to appeal to a certain type of audience, willing to do anything to defend certain behaviors, as long as the person engaging in them meets the criteria they approve of.

But that's just my personal opinion.

(I took a look at the Instagram comments… My God, the partners of those commenters have a pretty high chance of ending up getting cheated on XD)

That the ML doesn't deserve any of this, that the ML and FL should break up for good, that the FL and SML can do whatever they want on their own, that the ML should finally be left in peace and stop acting like a doormat… That sort of thing seems to be the general direction the comments are heading in. But maybe that's just my impression.
