The tone of this drama is so confusing. half light hearted romance and half a depiction of the suffering of women in those times. Not a good mashup. And I feel that sometimes the drama doesn't even know what it wants to say? Like, the emperor confess he killed A CHILD to the fl and the music clearly tells us that he's scary, and the fl is obviously shocked BUT say to XD that the emperor is easy to talk to and she wants to befriend him?? Excuse me?? Drama, what do you want from us...
I think in this drama's case, aren't the lines without lips moving done on purpose as inner thoughts?
That's on purpose, like "we understand each other without speaking" except they don't. As for dubbing, I think Zhu Zhengting is the only one dubbed (from the main cast)
I felt that Nana was really in the wrong this episode, because she used her signing to hurt Sou when she was the one who made him recover his voice. When the first word she taught him was "Same" (the word "Onaji'' that she's signing can also mean "equal", having maybe that sense that he shouldn't feel inferior to anyone), she gave him access to a new world, a new mean of communication, a way to find friends with a common understanding. But she in fact found herself possessive of Sou because of the impact she had on his life. I was wondering where was the love in her behaviour? But then I realised that possessiveness comes from a fear of loss. The fear of losing Sou (especially to someone she feels she can't compete with because of her hearing impairment) made her throw a tantrum and hurt him.
I'm confused, was she lying when she said she liked Minato as "family"? Because if not, then things kinda make…
I feel that when she said he's like family, she meant like "husband", meaning he's part of her family already. I think she really liked him romantically, but it is also true she still has unresolved feelings for Sou, so the relationship cannot continue. I think she took her decision when she realised Minato didn't know she loved him (the scene with the teacher, where she looked really hurt). As the mother said: 'it's a problem when it's no one's fault". Was it Minato's insecurities? Tsumugi's 'lack' of love? Sou's reappearance in their lifes?
It shows the complexity of human emotions: in the end, there is no reasoning.
It's filmed really weirdly. The point of the height difference is to be cute, so why is there almost no full body shot? For the princess-style carrying scenes, the point is the size difference between the two characters, so why don't they take a full body shot?
I feel like In Seong is lying about amnesia, he's sus. And was child outsider Sung Joon really ML? Or is it another…
You guys are so right, I forgot about the Shaman freaking out! I assumed SJ saved Yoon Jae, hence his fear of dogs (that would explain the kid calling him Yoon Jae in the park, it was probably Yoon Jae himself)
I really don't like what they did with the amnesia thingy. BOTH SJ AND In Seong: "I lost all my memory as a child because of an accident". Traumatic amnesia would have made so much more sense, for the both of them. In Seong because of the abuse he suffered in the HWC , and SJ because he met a fkn CHILD in a cage when he was young.
And why are none of the characters thinking that maybe In Seong (lost child of the canteen lady) and In Seong (Creepy juror) are the same person?
I still feel like prof Chadok is just as pressured as Akk, and isn't really okay with everything that's happening. He probably doesn't have anything to do with prof Dika's death either. I feel like his character is just there to show us what Akk would become if Aye wasn't by his side.

When the rest of the drama was so good :'(
That was so disappointing!
