The MLs spirit is termed as fake or useless because when moving to higher realms, the one who has more elemental…
So you're saying that Han Li "has more elemental roots"? I remember this description given when they gathered for the "sorting" as it were but did not hear when it was applied to Han Li.
OAN, I wish the translation were better as neither fake or useless really fit. I guess it makes sense to Mandarin speakers. Oh well.
Actually nope it's the King's Father in law who is also the Minister of State which also explains why the King…
No wonder we're all a bit confused.
It makes sense that you'd think that because he's the king's maternal grandfather. However the dowager is not his bio mother.
So he's the king's grandfather, not the queen's. The Crown Prince is indeed his great-grandson.

I understood that he's the queen's (grand)father which begs the question as to why he's having the spirit possess his (great)grandson instead of the King whose reforms he doesn't seem to support.
of course there will rollercoaster ride especially in a 16 episodes drama. we would see these two episodes (9&10)…
I really enjoyed episodes 9 & 10. They both moved the story along, made my shipper heart & the king's too squeal with glee, and - unless the show completely loses momentum - set up the last part of the series very well.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Now that I've got it, it'll probably never come up again in the show!
