Ah, honestly. They should have just split the drama into two parts rather than heavily editing it to make it shorter…
I think people would love this drama more if they release Season 1 with part 1 and part 2! And then Season 2! If the second one is like over 40 episode, maybe make it part 1 and part 2 or Season 3? Release it one after another without breaks? Then a lot of us will be very happy! Just a thought! 😁

XL character is empathetic, some what noble and wise to some extent. But not decisive and mediocre leader and not King/Emperor material. Because he knows he knows full well that a lot of his people are going to die but he still chose to obey his cruel father! And that's not what good leader do! That's on full display when TTJ protect his people from shock with lighting with his power who is regarded as evil and don't have emotion. And what's the point of XL apologizing to the people after his people are killed, and still loose the war like he knows full well? He just doesn't have the guts and bravery like Ye Qingyu who surrendered to TTJ for the sake of his people and at the cost of his personal life! YXW is the only weakness of TTJ's! Kudos to XL for giving TTJ heart guarding scale though.
