To be fair, it’s also because TTJ is crazy jealous of XL

But can't blame him because he knows his wife was so into XL before LSS became YXW. And he doesn't know YXW is not the real YXW. He can only react to what he knows! And YXW's actions doesn't help either! From what he experienced, he can only assume that YXW will betray him! So he did what he did when his tolerance limit hits!

I don't think XL is as intelligent and decisive as TTJ. And also lacks the guts to fight for what's right and just! Not a good leader for his people! Even though TTJ is seen as Evil, he never did anything evil for the sake of evil or just his amusement or for his ego. Everything TTJ did is just in my opinion! And he protect his people, never used them like sacrificial lambs unlike XL who still follows his father's order even though he knows he will loose and a lot of his people will die because of that.
