Nah, it has nothing to do with her characters, makeup or performances. They changed the order because people complained the order of the story was is a bit all over the place in the 1st 2 eps when they didn't know the "history". But tbh, that original is better because it give you suspense and help you feel the character/story more. The surprise factor is gone when you change the order. While the 1st order keep you guessing...

It's ok if you don't like the drama but the drama has 7.1 rating on douban. That's quite good for xianxia genre. And to me SYS is a very layered character while XRR/MQG is definitely a FL character ceiling for Xianxia genre. You don't often find these 2 in the same dramas either. Not to mention the writing and CG are both outstanding and "have heart".

I won't really describe it as enemies to lovers. He was a reluctant disciple but they were never really enemies?
They were, kind of. Because MQG helped SY and was against SYS and his dad's side in the beginning. That's how they met. Sure she never considered him as her enemy but I'm sure he did, at first. That's why he kept asking her if taking him as disciple is because of SY or that if she is doing everything because of SY. SY is the reason they met and SYS somewhat is a bit insecure about their relation and history in most of the drama . It's not direct enemies to lovers in the whole lot but like I said it has a lot of tropes in this drama. A little bit here and there. He literally went from I'm going to kill you to I'd die for you.
