Such a poignant and beautiful drama. Drams that are family-focused never fail to bring me to tears, and this one was no exception. It made me reflect on my own life, especially with what brings me happiness, and further propelled me to treasure the time I have with my parents as we all grow older.
Can you honestly say that you're anything like you were 13yrs ago? I think it's a little extreme to blame anyone…
Hello. You do raise a good point. I'd like to mention that I wrote my initial comment with the sexual assault allegations in mind, hence my strong opinion against him. I still condemn his actions because I can't stand bullying, especially due to personal experience and how bullying utterly broke a family member to the point where I'm still taking care of their needs. However, I will consider what you said regarding change and the lack of actual proof concerning the sexual assault. Thanks for your input.
His actions are inexcusable, especially with the level of abuse he inflicted on those around him. I can't imagine the amount of pain and humiliation his victims had to endure for his own sick satisfaction and entertainment. It's unbelievable that he became a celebrity with that kind of past.
Spoilers on the emperor's identity: If I recall the novel correctly, it's because the emperor is secretly a woman.
No, I haven't read the novel. Someone who read the novel shared this information. I might be wrong so don't quote me on this, but I think he has a harem. However, I'm not sure what happens to them at the end of the story or if he ends up with only one girl.
HAHAHAHA, Your comment left me laughing. I totally feel the same. I can't stop myself from clicking and watching…
That does sound like a lot of fun, but sadly, I don't think I can make it. I'm usually outside at that time. I appreciate the invitation though! I hope you enjoy your time then.
Nearly everyone is so darn unlikeable. They slyly hide their heinous selves, and they throw tantrums and screech at each other when they don't get what they want. I get that's the point of this drama, and although I'm so vexed by it, I keep clicking the new episode. For the sake of my blood pressure, I'm probably going to drop the drama.
Aside from Ae Ri, the detective is probably Seo Jin's biggest ally. He was always there for SJ and shared important information with him. He was one of my favorite characters, and I'm glad nothing bad happened to him.
Great drama with a satisfying ending. I love the partnership between AR and SJ, and I'm happy that there was no romance to ruin the story's flow.
the post productin of this entire drama has been flaless, ooof. just the title screen in every episode gives me…
I agree! I love seeing the title screen appear at the end of the episode. It gives me the same feeling I had whenever the ending music in Secret Forest kicked in.
This Reddit thread shows the differences between the series and the webtoon based on an interview: https://www.reddit.com/r/KDRAMA/comments/kes29w/sweet_home_official_promotion_interview/ If this is accurate, then there are quite a few changes to the characters, with significant ones being: - Pyeon Sang Wook: former detective -> former killer (not sure if this is true because I thought I saw reports of him playing as a former detective) - Yoon Ji Su: main role -> sub role (potentially no longer Hyun Soo's love interest) - Lee Eun Yoo: potentially Hyun Soo's love interest instead An important thing to note: "The original webtoon author requested that he doesn't want the series to follow 100% of his webtoon story. The author said he wants to see different perspectives from others and thus the director accepted his request. This is why the series has many differences from webtoon."
