I hate how they're clearly trying to make us sympathize with the villains (Gin, that man, the priest)—like, I see what they’re going for, but it’s just not landing. It feels like they’re forcing a redemption arc just to justify the plot, and it’s not working.
And her revenge? Yeah, that stopped being justifiable after the whole Goto massacre. That should have been the grand finale—revenge completed, roll credits. But nope, she just had to keep going, proving she’s no better than the people she was trying to get back at…
There’s always some Korea-Japan crossover drama happening, but why is he never in one?! I need him front and center, leading the chaos! And it better be something thrilling… or horror… or both! Give me nightmares, not disappointment! 😩
I wouldn’t say I absolutely love arthouse, but I don’t dislike it either. I really enjoy stories that break away from typical formulas and feel unique, though that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m into full-on arthouse—it depends on how it’s done. I don’t get triggered by anything, so I think I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for responding! There’s been a lot of negativity around this series, so hearing a more positive perspective is exactly what I was looking for.
