no i don't think it's the sprit. dong eun visited the shaman and probably asked her to act or something to mentally break yeon jin. Also the shaman is not dead, they said she was cursed or something.

Why can't they just follow the webtoon. Webtoon Van was a whole other experience. He was the strongest character in whole of super string universe.
Also the thought of do young killing someone does not sit right with me.
