idk if you have read the manga but there namunosuke also gets killed (i won't spoil on who did it though since…
Thank you soo much for replying!
I watched the preview of episode 12 and I TOTALLY misunderstood it. LOL. Was Daisaku trying to KILL Kyu-chan? I thought he was trying to KISS him or checking on him. (I shouted when I watched it lol , but at the same time I thought it was wierd since it is not a BL but maybe Ms. Tsubota decided they should go wild in this season. LOL). Daisaku's eyes were not passionate in that scene so you must be right. (I watched the preview but didn't check translation before, thats why I misunderstood it. It is written "Will Daisaku be able to kill his dear friend?" - so yes, you said it right). But did you see he tried to take care of Kyujuro's hands and in another part, he tried to hold his shoulders and he pushed Daisaku away and left? Maybe he was trying to explain something and Kyujuro didn't want to hear? I still believe his feelings are messed up because Kyujuro killed Gengo but I don’t think he will see Kyujuro as an enemy immediately. I think there will be a bittersweet feeling before. Maybe Katsura will tell him to kill the man who killed Gengo? In my opinion Kyujuro has more reasons to dislike Daisaku because he never lied about anything. He’s been sincere from the start.
Well, these are just assumptions. We must wait for next week to see what happens. I can’t wait for the 2nd season. But one thing is sure: those happy days of sakura petals falling and moongazings are gone forever.
I can't wait! Did you see Daisaku getting close to Kyuu-chan while he was sleeping as if he was about to kiss…
They constantly trick us and we're deceived. 😅 Yes, maybe Kyu-chan was sick and Daisaku was just checking on him to make sure he was breathing. 😏 🤣 But Shinnojo x Namunosuke scenes are often what we see. LOL. It is crystal clear. Their chemistry is insane on-screen and off-screen! 😍 But It is not a BL (I tell myself everyday). 😆
I hope they'll have a happy ending. Drama has more story than e-book, Shinsengumi are nicer than in e-book, even…
I hope they'll have a happy end too 🥰but I try to not build expectations because they showed Kyujuro killing Daisaku in 1st episode. 😢 Would they change this?
Next season trailer🔥so excited 😩https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9Q2GBBS8Qv/?igsh=bWh4cDQ0eHczendl
I can't wait! Did you see Daisaku getting close to Kyuu-chan while he was sleeping as if he was about to kiss him? It reminded me of a scene from "Kimi ni wa Todokanai ("I can't reach you") played by Kentaro x Haru. 😅 They like to trick us with those ambiguous scenes.... 😅 and in the end it is nothing as we think it was. LOL.
Other actors, besides Maeda Kentaro ("My beautiful man: Eternal" and "I cannot reach you") e Tomoya Oku ("Minato's Laundromat 1 and 2"), played in BL's:
Shoji Kohei was in “A man who defies the world of BL 2”. Hideyoshi Kan is one of the main actors of “Although I Love You and You?” Tomimoto Sousyo was in “The end of the world with you”. Takano Akira was in “My beautiful man 2”. I don't know if there is anybody else...
I'd love to watch this series, but I'll wait until the second half is out and see if it's a HEA. I don't want…
I don't really think it is a HEA because it is based on a true story. But if you watch the first eight episodes you'll see a lot of cute things like sakura petals falling 🌸, gazing at the moon together 🫠, guys touching each other's faces 😏, beautiful guys singing, performing tik tok dances and sending kisses to the camera. It is kawaii! Tension and killing start from episode 9 on. 😓
idk if you have read the manga but there namunosuke also gets killed (i won't spoil on who did it though since…
I’m glad we can talk about the series so we are able to see and understand from someone else’s point of view and I agree with you in many things. I really like your response. ^
Gengo Shonai, in my opinion, was a victim. He was not a bad person. He trusted Daisaku and in his beliefs he was doing it all in the name of God, or as he used to say, it was God’s will. He was not bad at all. He just chose his side according to what he faced in past. I have the same opinion about Daisaku. He is not a bad man, but yes, as you said, he is cunning and calculative but as he made his choice, there’s no turning back. He has to be this way in order to survive. I think he regreted his choices as he talked to Kyujuro about running away. Maybe if Kyujuro accepted to run away along with him, he would forget it all. I totally agree with you when you said he gave the plan to Kondo just because he didn't want to see innocent people dying and not because he was worried of Shinsengumi. He doesn’t like Kondo, so why would he bother?
I watched episode 11 again and had a new perspective. Daisaku regreted the day he met Kyujuro, so yes, it was a mistake to try to save him. Kyujuro is Daisaku’s weakness. I watched the preview of episode 12 and it seems he still tries to reconnect with Kyuu-chan but he rejects him so there will be more episodes before his death. I don't really hope they'd kill the main actor in the middle of the series. LOL. The only thing I don't agree is about Daisaku not betraying Gengo. Yes, he was looking for Gengo during the attack to check if he was alive/safe or maybe to explain him what he did because, yes, he cared for Gengo, but Daisaku’s actions led to Gengo’s death and there was a possibility that Gengo could die if the surprise attack happened. Gengo could have died before, along with his comrades, instead of dying by Kyujuro’s sword. I think Daisaku betrayed Gengo not only once, but twice, because he put Kyujuro’s in 1st place instead of putting Gengo whom he met a long time ago and was his childhood friend, and even if he was worried about innocent people he could have done it in a different way. I think it was a mistake of him giving the Choshu plan to Kondo, because now they suspect him of being a spy. At the same time, I think Daisaku emotions were a bit blurry. He betrayed Gengo but he liked him. He didn't want him to die (You notice when Gengo was going to kill Daisaku because he pushed Kyujuro and put himself in front of Gengo's sword, he didn't try to defend himself or fight against Gengo, he just put his head down and accepted it). I think Daisaku is lost in his feelings. He wanted to protect Kyujuro, Gengo and innocent people but he can't have it all.
I didn't read the manga yet (would it be useful now watching the series? Wouldn't it confuse my mind?), I will try to ASAP, but I read a bit about the original history. It seems this series is a mix of the manga + History + Ms. Tsubota mind. So who knows what's gonna happen?
Hahaha. When I first watched the 2nd episode with the ending theme I thought the same - wth is that? In the end…
This series' got many elements of a BL and many romantic scenes are subtle 😏, but it is described as "Bromance". Songs are beautiful and we can listen to them on Spotify 😍. It gets more interesting because the actors are the singers. You can recognize some of their voices listening to the songs carefully.
You can also find the songs of 1st season on You Tube with translation (English subs are above). Here are the links:
there's such much reviews I'm confused- is this completed?
No, it is not. "Kimi to Yukite Saku" is still being broadcasted on tv. The first season has 11 episodes and it is finished but second season will be aired on July 17th, on Tv Asahi (Japan) and it is supposed to have 9 episodes. I watched the first season so far (11 episodes). I think we're a bunch of fans of different actors of the series, so that's why so many comments in this section. 😄🤣
Wow, the first 2 episodes were really well done. I'm not familiar with the story at all so I think they did a…
Hahaha. When I first watched the 2nd episode with the ending theme I thought the same - wth is that? In the end of the day it is a samurai series! The opening song is called "Flame" and it is my favorite song so far. The opening of the series is insanely cool, imo, with that sword dance. The ending song is an adorable cute song called "Yume Hanabi" (You can find them on Spotify if you look for "Kentaro Maeda 🌸" playlist. A fan of him probably created it.). It has to do with the initial vibes of the series since you will see some "bromance" blooming in the next episodes (The name of the series is “With you I bloom”). There are some "couples", let me say this way... it is not a BL (I wish it was by the way!! 😏) but it is kinda “gay" occasionally. So “Hanabi” song has a lot to do with the first season and their relationships. As the episodes go through, the real intentions of each character will be shown. This series is divided in 2 seasons and the first season is over (with 11 episodes). We are waiting for the 2nd season and they said there will be new opening and ending themes song. It is nice all songs are sung by the actors. I can't wait for the 2nd season! 🤩
idk if you have read the manga but there namunosuke also gets killed (i won't spoil on who did it though since…
I finally see someone talking about Gengo Shonai! 😅 I really liked him (except for killing Kyujuro's father, of course)! Do you guys agree he was also driven by passion and enthusiasm to fight for what he believed it was right? He was blindly fighting for his passion. I got to read the interview you wrote about, where he said he auditioned for another role (I think it was Namunosuke role) but he didn't get it and he said he didn't want to act and think of his character as a villain. Besides, in ep 11 you can see how he was portrayed. I could clearly see his honesty and fidelity to his companions by asking help from Katsura Kogoro but being denied. We could clearly see his frustration and disappointment. Also before dying, we could see how disappointed he was by Daisaku betraying him. He truly trusted in Daisaku. I think he was just a man who had faith in his choices, just like Kyujuro and Daisaku, in the beginning. It's sad he was killed. I wanted to see more of him. Although his character being an antagonist, I wish he could've survived for the 2nd season. 😅
I read, weeks ago, a piece of the real history of Shinsengumi but couldn't remember about Okita's health condition. Now I understand why he asked Hajime Saito to not tell anyone about his situation...
I didn't know he got tuberculosis. 😢 Did they mention this before in any episode or you got this information because you read the manga? I didn't get to read it yet, planning to do ASAP. 🙃
Will there be gap in release of s2 ( ep 12) or we will be getting ep every Thursday just like now?
Ohh! New opening and ending themes? 🤩 These guys really worked hard! They sing, dance, fight with a sword, act... I really like the songs of season 1 and my favorite is the opening theme (Flame). Can't wait for the new songs of season 2.
In ep 10, on the scene at school, when Kyujuro interacts with children and talks about dango, Daisaku looks at Kyuu-chan with those eyes and smiles as if to say: "I want this man to be the father of my kids". LOL. 🤣 He's got a beautiful smile, hasn't he? 😍
