It's hard for me to say. I have different favorites depending on the episode.
As watching an episode per week, I had a long time to process about every scene I watched. It's a different feeling when you have one week to think about each episode, waiting for the next... Your mind creates a lot of theories... 馃ぃ So maybe my taste is a bit controversial but it's just my point of view.
I liked Kyujuro (when he was weak), Daisaku (after 2nd season), Serizawa Kamo (amazing!!!), Gengo Shonai (amazing!!!), Namunosuke, Yamanami-sensei.... I cannot say... Right now my favorites are Sanosuke and Daisaku.
I hope Sakamoto Ryoma will save both Daisaku and Kyujuro!
It would be amazing if he did. It would be a plot twist! I must confess I wish for a "happy ending" until the last minute but probably the HE of Daisaku will be joining his childhood friends Gengo Shonai and Toji Mitsunaga. Two more episodes ahead and I really hope last episode will be longer than 25 minutes.

- Sanosuke helping the guys as Yamanami-sensei used to do. 馃槏I love his character these last episodes sooo much! He's shining brightly. And I love his funny moments with Saito Hajime. 馃槃
- Daisaku as a ninja to clear the way for the future of Kyujuro?! I'm dying now馃槶!!! I think, maybe, Daisaku will choose to die at the hands of Kyujuro instead of someone else's hands? 馃 It doesn't seem Daisaku will ever hate him, instead, he loves him more than himself and cares about Kyuu-chan's life more than his own. And maybe he will let Kyujuro kill him cause he knows he has to die in order to protect Kyujuro from Hijikata's fury?? Now I think about this... Even when he was dying, he told Kyujuro about the ephemerality of the sakura's flowers 馃尭(we know he spoke in metaphors) and made Kyu-chan to cry... I'll wish for a different ending till the last minute. 馃槩
- Namunosuke, please, don't die! You're the shining star of Shinsengumi. 馃槶
I really thought this drama would have a better ending. It is just ok, nothing special.
After so much struggle and pain, Ikuko accepted Hiroji just the way he was and Nana did same about Ichi. It seems like they kinda gave up of communicating with their partners and setting new goals for future and their relationships and decided to stay at the same place just because is easier. They didn't look happy or satisfied, they're just resigned to the fact they're not getting anything better from their respective partners. Will it be enough for them in future? Won't these women blame their partners later when life issues knock on their doors?
In my opinion, relationship is not about money or status or whatever you got, but you must be happy and proud of the person you are with and both partners must try to find a balance to create such a healthy environment for each other. So setting goals for the relationship is an important thing to do.
Hiroji does as if he lost his hope in life long ago and Ikuko seems like she wanted more from Hiroji but as she is not getting it, she accepted what he has to offer.
Watching Ohara Koji falling for Kimiko so deeply was great! He was head over heels in love with her! The pain in his eyes was so intense I could feel it. I loved his character development! Each one of them learned from pain and it was worth to watch their changes for better. Kojima Toru and Asano Shifumi performed beautifully. Both couples deserved a better ending and I think last episode was a bit inconclusive but I still like much about this drama, including the beautiful song played in the last minutes of each episode sung by Ren Nagase and Kaito Takahashi (Halfmoon - King & Prince). I know this drama is controversial and messy and it is sad but I like it.
One who understands mutual love can't consider these women cheating .....it was a pure art
This series is simply amazing in my opinion. Toru's feelings were genuine and unconditional. He was ready to risk it all in the name of his love for Shifumi. It was delightful to watch his development to the moment he noticed that love was hurting him so bad. I know it is a mess but I really loved this sad drama.

This! After Han Ji Min worked with Lee Min Ki (I like him so much after watching "My liberation notes", by the way) I thought they would be a great couple. I remember reading an interview where Lee Min Ki complained of being lonely and he said he wanted a girlfriend (it was before working along with Ji Min). When I found out they would be in a drama together I thought they would be good together also because of their ages. He interacted a lot in her IG and liked ALL her pictures. That's why everybody shipped them. The other day he travelled to Europe and many people wrote in his IG pictures "Where is Han Ji Min? Why didn't you take Han Ji Min with you?". LOL. Anyway, I'm glad she found a good guy and they are openly dating. He must be a keeper.
