I once read they make dramas only for japanese people and they don't want to spend much money in productions for an international release, so they prefer to keep it for their country. Also they're worried their dramas would not be appreciated by international audiences due to cultural differences and low budget productions, so their main focus is local people. This is sad.
Daisaku loved Kyujuro more than himself till the end. He paved the way for Kyu-chan's bright future. I knew they wouldn't become enemies. I kinda knew it deep inside. There was a bittersweet feeling for some time, some awkward moments, but their love was stronger. You’re so on point! 😉 All circumstances are heading to Daisaku’s death. I feel like they are preparing us for this ending since EP1, as it is said "they are destined to kill each other". Daisaku having a happy future along with Kyujuro is against all odds but I still wish they will do it until the last minute. But Kyujuro needs to know what he wants too... I've been thinking maybe Daisaku dying by Kyujuro's hands is a way to protect him from Hijikata because he was entrusted with a mission to find and kill the traitor within Shinsengumi. So maybe this is another way for Daisaku to protect Kyujuro. Daisaku is full of guilt and regret and he blames himself all the time. I don't know if he would manage to have a happy life even if he survived. I think everyone wants their happy future together but I don't think it will happen because in the last minutes of EP7, when Daisaku and Kyujuro are talking, we can hear Kyujuro's inner thoughts about Daisaku and it says "I have no way of knowing now. I just remember". It means Daisaku will be no longer there. I just hope Kyujuro finds out how Daisaku paved the way for a bright future for him and he regrets his decision to kill him.
It seems Sakamato Ryota will play an important role on Kyujuro’s next decision. He gave him a book written in English and it made him curious about the world. It may be a clue he is really leaving to the USA in the end. It is sad each episode is so short, there is not enough screen time to develop such an interesting character as Ryota is.
Previews are often deceiving us and I don’t trust them either but I remember I read comments about Namunosuke death many months ago. Anyway, if he will die, it comforts me to know they gifted us with his figure until almost the end of the drama cause he was the most beautiful character, with a big heart full of love, affection and unconditional love. I love his scenes and how funny his performance with Yamanami-sensei used to be. It makes me giggle a few times. 🤣
