Donghua ep 164, Han Li was telling his clan's offspring to stay away from the cultivation world, because it's…
It has been teased in the latest episode that two girls one from the Han and another from the Li Family have already embarked on the journey. We also got to see just how powerful Hanli as a Nascent soul is good stuff...
My 2 cents...I read the novel. I read the webtoon and I mean this was my highlight through pandemic. I read it…
I feel the same if this was a 12 episode drama instead of a movie it may have performed better but I enjoyed it even with the shallowness it had 6.5/10 for me. Currently just began the webtoon and it has really motivated me to continue haven't read the novel though
I've a hunch that the 3rd party and villain R is someone from Xiao Ming Ming's modern world, and most likely it's…
I don't know about that but am currently on ep 26 and the new character sancai is very fishy to me. I feel he might be the hidden person R but playing it off by hiding in plain sight.
I hope there isn't a strong romance theme in the next season. The grandmaster is way too embarrassing. Slept together…
Haven't seen her again after the teleportation to the sea of stars so if there is a season 2 of live action she won't be around. Neither will alot of the characters. Maybe a new cast of characters but for the sect leader of melodious sect would appreciate if they reused the actress for mo caihun as I believe she is her reincarnation anyway hope we get a season 2
The story was good, but the shift in tone was just too jarring. It started off as a simple crime-based drama, with a detective solving cases and the red strings (S-lines) serving as a subtle background element. But suddenly, by episode six, we’re dealing with an eldritch supernatural being obsessed with making these strings visible to the world.
It felt like this twist was meant to be part of an entirely separate cour. If that was the ultimate goal, the story sacrificed too much in terms of character development and emotional arcs. It almost felt like I was no longer watching a grounded drama, but an anime centered around a bizarre cosmic desire.
I’m not saying it couldn’t have worked—but maybe if the season had 12 episodes instead of six, there would’ve been room for proper character exposition, especially for the homeroom teacher and her motivations, and some lore behind the protagonist’s ability to see the red lines. In that case, the eldritch storyline could have landed better. Otherwise, if they didn’t have the budget for more episodes, they could have left out the desire demon subplot altogether.
Still, it was an entertaining watch overall. 7.5/10.
