I was getting turned off a little but the ending turned it around and changed my outlook on the whole drama.

Afaik the main director Park Soo Jin has been recovering from Covid and was absent from filming for 3 months.

Which is more than enough to recognize the b-film vibes of the drama. Nothing wrong about that. Trash films are fun to watch from times to times. Just not my fav genre to watch 18 episodes more of that.
