With Friends Like This, Who Needs Enemies

Story was whatever, it's been done and felt cliched and full of tropes that make me frustrated watching them, so I could only get so far before giving up. The actors were good, they did their jobs well, but their jobs were nonsense. I get that some people believe this is funny, but I don't. Didn't really get to hear the OST because I stopped watching, which is also why the rewatch value for me is nothing ... I couldn't finish watching it in the first place. Because I hated every trope and cliche so badly that I couldn't watch it, I also couldn't get to any romance that felt worthwhile. Obviously, if I could stomach the mess and get to the end, maybe I would like it, but I've never been the type of person to find it reasonable to pretend to root for a couple to get together and be happy when I think their whole relationship is twisted and toxic. For me, this wasn't worth the hype.

Now with some basic spoilers, which will pretty much be as much as you could figure out for yourself in the first two episodes, so I don't think they really count as spoilers. Ok. so Ha-ri has the worst best friend (Yeong-seo) and the worst boyfriend (Tae-moo) in probably the history of supposedly good rom-coms. Ha-ri is being used by her best friend, exploitation is what this is called, not friendship. The rich girl can't possibly face daddy and say that she doesn't want an arranged marriage so she forces her best friend to go and pretend to be crazy so the guys will run away. She has her best friend do this multiple times but then when her friend might end up losing her job if she's found out (because the guy she does this to ends up being her boss), the rich girl just throws her best friend under the bus because she also can't possibly take responsibility by herself. We're supposed to watch someone's life and ability to keep a job being smashed against the wall by her supposed best friend and pretend its funny? Not really. Also as far as I can tell the boyfriend or male lead has the personality of pigeon. He's rude, self centered, arrogant and treats her like a plaything that we are supposed to believe he later falls in love with. Also not likely. It's all pointless and stupid. With friends like that in your life (and boyfriends), you should move to another planet.
