her: experiments on humans are prohibited, we have no idea of what could happen because of cosmic rays and everything…
That turned me off… S.Korea is so desperate with their plummeting birth rates, I guess, they shovel this pro-life commentary in the dramas now… It was especially ridiculous how OBGYN will call it a “murder” who supposed to be a scientist - knowing how fragile DNA is at this stage, how damaging cosmic ionizing radiation to already formed human beings and we are taking about cells in active phases of division here… and how devastating those birth defects might be for the child and parents……….. I’m still curious where this drama will go from now, but this definitely affected my views on the show.
Reminder that girlboss plots are not empowering women, just romanticizing justifying boss unethical behavior towards…
agreed.. also being cold/unapproachable/rude has nothing to do with being strong - these are defense mechanisms hiding the weaknesses. Rather it takes a lot of strength to be kind dealing with all those pretend to be strong. As much as I like the cast, in particular Han Ji Min in other series - I don’t enjoy the plot of this one.
Hehe so I did search for the literal translation and it goes like - "Breaking the melon~ Beyond the line crossed,…
oh wow thank you for the leg work 😅I was lazy.. I liked this one because they addressed things everyone else barely touches.. Japanese dramas don’t stop to amaze me - simple on the surface but deep once one dives in.
I also think English title is bad. that actually turned me off at first from watching the series. I wonder what’s the literal translation of the title.
Your observation matches mine. I used to rely on ratings and comments to make my decision to watch but more and more I find that ratings do not reflect what I like. It’s okay to have diverse opinions, however I find there is too much negativity especially in currently airing shows…
I enjoyed the leads - both younger and grown up versions, their banter was cute, but once united the chemistry of the older couple was lacking. It felt like they are good old friends rather than lovers tragically separated for years. Younger actors in contrast performed exceptionally well and believable in their passion for each other. Overall it was a good one time watch. Thank you for avoiding a tropey break up in the end which is a curse of many k-dramas.
I’m very happy to see this actress in When the stars gossip. Her role in Once again coupled with Lee Sang Yi was memorable - they are one of my favorite drama couples! 🫶🌹
that’s so sweet! reminded me how mom watched crazy love with me and she doesn’t understand English so I had…
I hear you! so interesting how tastes differ - after starting to watch Asian drama couple of years ago I can count on fingers of one hand how many non-Asian dramas I watched - addiction fr 😆
Was so happy to see them get the Best Couple award. Their chemistry together was amazing!
The couple was outstanding! I wasn’t really interested in the plot - even put it on hold… but then they turned up the heat and seeing these two pouring their hearts out was so worthwhile. I will rewatch only their scenes together for sure.
