Seori running to Seyge saying that he will protect him (unlike his stupid family) and that she's going to be okay…
I normally don’t like staring-at-each-other scenes in k-dramas - they cringe me out. This one was made so well, they created a magical moment with that music and camera flashes, and I kept re-watching it over and over and over… 😅☺️🫠❤️

im confused on how fl doesn't recognize se-gye from her past. i get that he has the thing over his eye, but is…
I wondered about this as well.
My theory she knows - the last line before she grabs his arm « There are countless reasons I must not fall for this man. [grabs him] But there is just one reason why I have »…

I couldn’t scrape myself off the couch binging episode 5 and 6 and rewatching many scenes over and over. I laughed so much at ep 5 my stomach still hurts! I didn’t feel this way watching a show for a long time… (perhaps since Crush Course in Romance and Destined With You). The comedy, obnoxious male lead, the banter - particularly the banter! The chemistry between leads and support actors shines through. The supports pulling an enormous load making the show extra special - ML secretary, her neighbor/204, her female boss, shaman, building supervisor 🌹🌹🌹. Now leads- so happy to see known, but not overused faces - refreshing! I really love seeing male actor in a main lead role - he is crushing it and then some. This unlikable, granted sexy character, just melts your heart in a final scene of ep 6… 🫠The actress is new to me and she is living the role - her accent, bossiness, foxyness… all done to perfection.
Surprising to myself several scenes starting with the very first one made me tear up. Rare occurrence..
We never know with a k-drama second half - many times plot twists left me disappointed. Let’s hope for a better outcome for this one. I find it strange that no scriptwriter listed here on MDL. That name I would definitely want to remember.

This trio is absolutely adorable - the kid is sooooo cute!!!! 🥰😍❤️🥰 I can tell leads had fun filming - they are smiling with their eyes. (I would love to see these actors in a better plot though) Even with story lacking, they are too enjoyable to watch to skip this drama.

Lol after watching just 4 eps this was exactly my decision- switch off the brain for the plot, enjoy the leads and a super cute kid. I usually watch a drama like this on a background when doing chores… 😅

I'm old enough to remember the 90s and back then Japan had the same kind of cultural influence that Korea has…
Thanks for sharing your perspective - very interesting. Personally started with K-dramas several years ago and was first fascinated but lately tired of the tropes. J-dramas (contemporary) hit or miss, but like you said old Japanese shows hit differently - really enjoying them.

Title My Fated Boy
Good show: solid 8.5 stars from me - more of a family drama than romance, relationships simply portrayed, but meaningful. Enjoyed their childhood bits a lot. Had to skip through the last 3 episodes - I think those could be made into 1. Overall a pleasant show without unnecessary dramatisation.

Thanks Fairhelen--your comment made my day!! I do think Asian dramas are getting better each year--there are some…
Yes! that’s what I’m basically switched now - Chinese and sometimes Japanese.

Reading your review was a joy, can’t say that about watching this drama… How could k-drama fall so low?! And I love both lead actors… but watching them in this plot made me so annoyed…

The korean dramas has dropped so much in their value, script, cinematography etc... old dramas are better, mesmerizing.…
Exactly!. It’s so sad that actress like Han Ji Min even offered a script like this. The quality of script writing deteriorated so much. I miss dramas like One Spring Night. I’m more and more inclined to watch C- and even quirky J-dramas nowadays.. Plus demonstration of Korean toxic society and drinking started to put me off long time ago…
