I was curious if ML scenes indeed were cut production reason. And yes, I don’t rely on reviews nor rating to decide on watching a drama, my judgement solely based on a story and its execution. On ep 9 and enjoying it - great characters and friendships. I see why some people are complaining if they wanted to see romance and/or ML, as his story is not really present much at least in this half.

Overall good story and characters. Enjoyed it up to ep 15, unfortunately at that point it went downhill for me due to separation trope and weird pacing with time skips. In the end, they gave attention to all the other characters but leads. I rate it 8/10 (up to ep 15 - was 10/10).

I quite like his hairstyle..although in one episode when only person’s back was shown I first thought it’s a ML when it was Ren and that was kind of funny…

and they also sleep in their reg clothes and sweaters… 😅

On 23ep while ML came around being nice, unfortunately misunderstandings took hold of our beautiful smart FL 😢 I decided to no longer waste my time and just try another Bai Lu drama hopefully with better writing...

I have one question - please spoil me as I can no longer persevere watching this show but kind of rooting for Professor/Niece couple.
Will they be together and if yes approx what episode he finally sees her/likes her back?

Does ML become less stiff and more loveable in later episodes?

Li Ge was such a character - sometimes annoying, sometimes scary but also soulful - made me smile. 🌹
