I unfortunately dropped this. I'm a huge romcom person but now I realized that I actually like my romcom to have…
I felt the same. The writing I think was off. I liked both leads and friends, but after a tablecloth staring scene my interest to watch kept going down. Made it to ep13 or 14 with fast forwarding sister scenes but still haven’t finished it… On hold 🤷♀️
who actually thinks Jo boah is doing a good job in this role, feels like a miscast
I have not seen any dramas with this actress - kind of blank slate for me and I think she is doing phenomenal. Perfect match of cold Rowoon’ character and hers being feisty but cute. I wouldn’t even say she is goofy. She treats him as her younger brother for now - kind of dismissive.. Can’t wait to see her transformation to more romantic approach towards him.
It's a reference to Guardians of the Galaxy character who always said that and no real words.
I still can’t fully comprehend that dialog between them in a restaurant… urban dictionary defined I’m Groot as “the phase you say when you don't know what to say next». would that mean that Sin yu doesn’t know what to say when she asks him what he wants (to eat)? or there is another meaning of it?
This show has been a pleasure to watch indeed (at the time of my comment also just finished ep 4). What I find interesting is the trend on this website when the show airs there is so much noise in the comments - like you said from those who «think they could create a better story »… and all other nonsensical stuff distracting from the main point. I like reading reviews but find them most helpful when the show already aired and some time passed - i found some great older shows recently just like that. I find those later comments more true and closer to my views about the drama. I get it - people just want to talk about stuff and speak out… King the land fights in the comments were almost funny to read (I’m not talking about controversy here) but general likes and dislikes… didn’t make sense to me at all…
This drama is so much fun! What a match of characters: his cold & snobby with hers feisty & cute. (Their energy remind me of the leads in Crush Course in Romance - the only other drama this year I couldn’t wait for next episode to air). He is such a lawyer trying to analyze everything, striving desperately to keep his emotions under control and failing miserably… “Get a grip, Jang Sin-yu” ))) BTW cold Rowoon here is awesome - enjoying his every facial expression. The dialogs, pacing and the choice of words is just delicious. Without understanding Korean - I can tell it’s a treat. Banjag-banjag with that hand motion! 🤣🤣 Now OST - another treat for the ears - again just like in CCIR - it adds so much more humor to the scenes. Plus that fairytale music at the and of ep 3!!! Kudos to the writers and the entire crew - well done!
Ep 3 was amazing. Love everything about this show so far - leads’ acting, their chemistry, music, humor and story. Just hope it will continue to be as great! Can’t wait till tomorrow…
This was wonderful - ost, visuals, acting - especially Park Eun Bin is a power train when it comes to performance - she gave it all. I so enjoyed the last scenes - their walk together was so beautiful, she looked tiny compared to Rowoon’s character… He was so gentle with her, so loving… One of the best looking kdrama’s couples on my watch record. The writing had some inconsistencies and plot holes but overall it kept me interested with many good characters and thank goodness despite being so bloody it gave us a perfect ending.. Lots of love and thanks to the whole crew!
It’s sad to discover things like this about actors you like…hmm liked… I really liked him in Mr. Queen… Character is destiny… mistreating other people is simply unacceptable. How he can associate himself with such an abusive personality is misfortunate, but acting on “her orders” was his own decision. Also just discovering this about Sea Yea Ji , I realized why watching her in It’s okay not to be okay - was so uncomfortable (I couldn’t finish that drama by the way) - maybe her toxicity felt way too real for me… Again sad, but good to know.
rewatched her acceptance speech again today and cried with her. congrats on the daesang!! so proud of you ❤😭
I just watched it thanks to your comment. What an icredible and amazing woman! And it looks like she truly didn’t expect an award - she got startled and then stumbled approaching the stage. Yet her speech was so meaningful and kind. Huge huge respect!
One of the rare performers who can act with her eyes and speak volumes - she is incredibly talented. Now watching The King’s Affection and enjoying so much!
This is just an outstanding comedy… laughing non stop for 10 episodes binge watching - what a gem!!! whoever wrote this should write more. One of the best romcoms - frankly I don’t remember any on my long list that was THIS funny! plus both main couples are super cute - love it!!
