Love that the drama stays true to revenge and the villains get what they deserved instead of dying from being hit by white truck or stricken with terminal illness or being forgiven without paying for their crime.

The father didn't realise that YiJoo is his real daughter till much later in episodes. The grandfather banished YiJoo mother when she was heavily pregnant with YiJoo because her preggo stated reminded him of his guilt in causing the demise of another preggo lady. Disregarding his son interest n banished YiJoo mom. YiJoo father was very heartbroken n the stepmother worm her ways into the good books of the grandfather n YiJoo father pretending to be a good woman.
Not sure I want the father n mother to get back because her mother is living a good life herself n is successful in her career. The father ignored YiJoo throughout her life because she reminded him so much of himself. YiJoo is more like him than his "own child" Yoora. I think he couldn’t understand why the adopted child is more like him than his own child. Perhaps he was afraid he might love n favour the adopted child more as time goes by than his own child, hence the cold treatment. In any case, the father is super weak n blind to everything just like the FL in her 1st life.

Actually ML was just playing jokingly with his older brother phone when he accidentally dropped the phone in a shuffle with his brother (I think). The older choke grab ML almost choking him to death when the older brother slipped n fell off the boat. During the fall, the older brother's leg hit the metal railings of the boat before hitting the water. So the brother conveniently blamed ML since young for the fall ie. ML caused him to fall n got crippled. Only ML n his mother knows the truth but decided not to oust him (his mom told ml not to tell the father the truth).
ML brother is just pure evil ... he felt ML mother is the 3rd party who caused his parents separation. He hated ML n his mother.
