Man, I hope this works out because this story idea is so interesting to me. All of Patrick’s novels sound so unique, so I cannot take a watered down, censored-to-the-hills Chinese drama, especially with a topic as heavy as this. Having Taiwan involved though gives me hope. I’m anticipating all of the adaptations for Patrick’s bl novels, so I really do hope this one works out 😭

Going in for my second rewatch!

Releasing this without any subs is throwing me back to the early days of bl, where there were no official subs and we would usually have to wait until kind fans subbed the series for us international fans lol. I have hope that that will happen with this show 🙏 please 😭

Agree. I see a lot of negative comments, which I agree with to a point, the theatrical acting does take a bit to get used to. But I actually really enjoyed the first ep. These type of plots, which are rare in bl, are my favourite. Where the main characters are unlikeable or sit in the moral-gray of society, and are put in a scenario where they can do either good or evil, showing the gradual growth or decline of their character. Maybe I’m biased because all of Patrick’s bl novels intrigue me, so I’ve naturally been anticipating this show. I’ll have to see the rest of the eps before I have a concrete opinion though. The sets and colours used were pretty beautiful though, such warmth. Looking forward to the next episode :)

My head was playing that song on repeat throughout the whole ep 😂 “Like a virgin, touched for the very first time” over and over again 😭

Okay so I enjoyed this episode more than the first one, better plot development. The Japanese was back though 😭💀, whoever propositioned that choice is number 1 on my hit list 😂. I’m also confused that Teena now suddenly has fallen for Zouey. Like what happened to his evil smirk and ulterior motive from the last ep? Why the sudden change? I wanted more of him trying to lure Zoeuy into his trap. Oh well, I’m glad they finally introduced Prom, his character seems interesting plus he’s hot lol. Also did not expect the reveal with Soong to happen so quickly, dude went from 0 to a hundred real quick 😂 Anyways maybe I enjoyed this episode more because my expectations were pretty low after the first ep, also I watched most of the episode with no sound, so that may have helped 🤣 Will stay tuned for next week (Kaowoat has me hook, line and sinker 😭)
