i suggest if you dont like Slap kiss lakorns with this kind of stories you better stop watching it. and dont discourage…
I guess, just because people are complaining doesn't mean that they don't like the show. For example, I love this lakorn and I enjoy Slap-Kiss a lot, it's one of my guilty pleasures. ^^ But I still come here and whine quite a bit. Talking with others about the feelings I have while watching is half of the fun. Although you are right about the point that if someone does not like Slap-Kiss at all, then they won't have any fun watching this lakorn.
All the romantic pairings end up together and live happily ever after, which is the main goal of a romance series, I guess. But the family of the male lead goes to shambles. He hated his father because he made him kill the female leads family but then it turns out the father just faked being a bad guy for his sons benefit, gets forgiven and dies. His brother who was always torn between all the family members using him (and who is a rather pitiful character) gets killed and the mother who instigated all the problems goes crazy over losing her son.
So the romance works out fine but the resolution of any other storyline was super unsatisfying to me and made me not care about the love story at the end (at least of the main couple, I liked the second lead couple better at the end). But that might be my very subjective view...
Gina was really awesome in this episode and so funny! ^^ I am liking that Prin is finally getting his shit together.…
That was exactly what I was thinking. I am curious to see if he will make a bad proposal for the resort so that Mitra can win or if he has a different plan...
I’m really disappointed in Mitra’s father. I was relieved that her mother was supportive and kinda wanted…
Gina was really awesome in this episode and so funny! ^^ I am liking that Prin is finally getting his shit together. I feel he is trying to help Mitra in her work situation so the shareholders would back her up and her father would stop pressuring her into a marriage. That's why he is in competition with her company and that's also why he is being so mean right now. He is edging on her ego to make her stronger and to keep her from giving up.
Though I still find him creepy, I would be less annoyed if he wasn’t Prin’s friend in the first place who…
Oh, the actor is great though. He has that really funny lakorn Luk Tan Loy Kaew, just his role here is a bit of a douche. But I hate Traitot still a lot more. He is clearly in for his own benefit, while with Gun I can see that he actually want the best for Mitra.
Yeah, I am really disappointed in him. How he completely disregards his friends feelings when he just saw him…
So true. This is why I can't really be mad at Prin. He just seems really lonely and doesn't know how to love. Gun said in episode 5 that he kinda understood why Prin was sleeping around and never having a real relationship, even though he didn't like his life choice. But instead of trying to calm his friend down and making him realize that the way he is treating Mitra is not okay, he pushes him further into a corner. I really hope Gun comes around in later episodes. Not that he actually has a chance anyway. I am really looking forward to the moment when he gets to know that Mitras younger siblings are in reality her children with Prin. That should put an end to it...
Gun is really the definition “Why the hell are you even here?” I prefer Traitor cause at least he has chem…
Yeah, I am really disappointed in him. How he completely disregards his friends feelings when he just saw him heartbroken a few days ago and now won't even listen to him. Not that Prin is in the right, but Gun saw how conflicted he was over being in love with Mitra even though he feels betrayed by her. And Gun just ignores all that and breaks off the friendship. I really wanted him to be a good friend and Prins voice of reason...
Rightt! Every. Single. One. the person either dies in a ridiculous way OR they get redeemed and most likely don't…
The person I really wanted to be forgiven was Chakrit! I have a soft spot for the actor Deaw, so that might be a part of it, but I couldn't hate him and I felt like he was mostly pressured into his actions by his need to be accepted and loved by his parents. I wanted him to be freed from his mother, make up with his brother and get to know his real father. I wanted him to find his own happiness!
But instead they killed him off! The first moment I thought he was pranking his mother as an act of revenge. But when he didn't open his eyes again, I was done with this lakorn. It only got worse with the whole father scene...

I mean, in buddhism (at least in Thailand, not sure if universally) hate creates a bond/karma with a person that will transcend into the next life and will put you in a bad relationship with that person again. Forgiveness is the way to end that bond, so I get that they always need to have bad deeds forgiven at the end. But at least make it believable! Give me a bigger buildup, show me some hints early on that the person is regretting their action or make the other person struggle with their forgiveness! Not a 5 minute explanation and begging and the whole thing is done with!
This was an interesting drama and especially in the first half quite funny. But in later episodes they focused more on serious and emotional topics which gave this show more realism but also made it loose a lot of its spunk. I wish they could have kept the "laughing out loud"-sillyness until the end. But in total a very enjoyable watch.
I actually enjoyed this. It felt pretty realistic to me how everything slowly but surely shuts down and hope also disappears with every day that goes by. Plus Yoo Ah In was his goofy self so that made the whole thing quite entertaining for me.
Oh thank goodness, what a breath of fresh air to hear that. The thing is, this ... censorious approach ultimately…
Yeah, I was incredibly hyped myself when the second season was announced after all! I am suppressing that at the moment because I know it will make waiting incredibly painful. But once it starts airing there will be no holding back! Let's hope it will be as amazing as we expect it to be...

You couldn't have said that better, both on the enjoyment of the ”forbidden” and on Techno and Kengkla as a power couple! Back when it seemed that there would be no second season, I read a great fanfiction about them on AO3. Not sure if fanfiction is your thing but I think it does a superb job of portraying the workings of Kengklas mind as it is written mostly from his perspective. If you want to check it out, it's called ”Unfinished Business” by ch3ckmat3y.

I enjoyed Sei no Gekiyaku quite a bit even though it had consent issues and a potential stockholm syndrome, but I like my romances to be a bit edgy. As you and jarabaa said before a drama is a fantasy and I am okay to watch stuff I would not be okay with in real life.
That might also be the reason why I like Techno and Kengkla a lot and I am very curious to see how they turn out. To be honest none of the relationships in Love by Chance are super balanced (the most healthy one might be Pond and Cha'aim). But who would like to see a story where the characters are all mentally and emotionally well-balanced and their relationships work out without any problems. That would be boring. We all watch the drama because of the "drama"!
PS: I never saw the parallels between Tin/Can and Tharn/Type, but you are right! Now I can't unsee it!

*lmao* That would solve the problem of people getting so worked up about things being ”problematic”, I guess. But then some people just always want the storyline to be rainbows and sunshine, and the sex to be vanilla. By the way, have you seen Sei no Gekiyaku? Lots of ”problematic” and the sex is everything but vanilla. ^^

Do you want more spoiler?
