You want enemies to lover, huh? But in the novel, great and bright character are like that but it seems they changed that in the drama.

It’s two novels merge into one so it’s like 8 episode of each, not really that many episodes if you think about it. I hope they really develop both the pair well and not leaning on one of the two and mess the other one’s story.

It’s DEAD-END JOB day! Can’t wait to binge this once it come out.

Hm? Really? I tried to think so many theories but this wasn’t one. Interesting. Like I tried to connect the dots and thought maybe the mastermind had met all of them at one point which seemed to be possible with some of them but not with some other, then again, we really hadn’t gotten stories of some of them either so maybe it will show up soon.

My theory:

Niide might have been failed to catch a culprit and made the mastermind lose someone. Gi ju had rescued someone when that person did not deserve to be saved which could be the one Niide wasn’t able to catch and prevent a tragedy and the mastermind is angry about that. Aum might have sold drugs to this person. This unnamed person had somehow been robbed/lied money out of him from the taxi driver, maybe while he worked in Japan. Maybe he/she had taken the plane with the hostess and something happened which she hadn’t done anything for them in the situation.

As for the writer and the actress, I am not sure how they could have crossed path with the mastermind or their lover(?). But we have yet any insight to their part and story yet so.

But if they all met that person at some point in their life that changed something so drastic, I feel like it have to be during the same period of time or closely. So maybe, if we go from your theory and how this mission is about saving one’s loved one, it’s very reasonable that they were at some point in Japan at the same time and caused the mastermind lose their loved one whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Ah, now I am getting the story of this drama.

Ah… Yeah, it would be nice but hadn’t seen a dark character like that being fl though, so it’s unlikely to happen. And I feel like the audience would h*te a character like that, like even the one Ha Ji-won played in Climax was h*ted so badly even though it wasn’t that dark and was pretty reasonable.

Yeah, it’s really frustrating how they treat him and I can see people doing this in rl. Strangers gossip behind him, the ones who think they have a right to interfere would downright insult him in his face, like Youjin’s brother who think he had a say in it just because of his relation to his sister. This drama is hitting close to home with all these human natures and maybe it’s why people are ticked off, they are not familiar with a drama like this where they are forced to see the society that they knew.

I hope they do it right and give her a development that erase her bad habits, I mean we are talking about a year separation, right? This drama have been steady until now so I hope the 4 episodes that is left won’t ruin the pace and the drama itself. Have my 🤞🏻.

Yes, unfortunately.

If she learned, she won’t do the same mistake again but she had done it. Her problem is that she always run her mouth in the spur of the moment without giving it proper thoughts and she hadn’t changed one bit in this aspect since ep 1. I don’t know if Minjae can guide her since she is quick to run away and rely too much on her emotion. If she hadn’t tasted the bitterness, I don’t think she will change so yeah, let’s welcome the breakup era. She needs to break her bad habit.

This is not the kind of drama I like but I think I will give it a chance for Ju Ji Hoon and Lee Se Young. It will be finished within a month too which is a plus.

I guess the person see her temper as a red flag and I do agree partly. I mean, yeah, you are right, we are all human and we make mistakes and we learn from them. Unfortunately, Youjin hadn’t done that until now but I hope their separation put some sense in her because if she doesn’t change, their love won’t survive for sure.

If I have to be honest, she is draining to be with.

Truly. She is doing such a good job.

It’s not about who break up first. It’s about how she always say things she want to take back but her actions already hurt the other person. She is already 25 yet she don’t have self-awareness when she is doing the hurtful things but when it’s others, she is quick to see them even if it wasn’t the case. She had hurt her mother because of her insecurities and she had hurt Minjae with her mindlessness multiple times now and her brother by bringing up his pain to save herself (although he deserved that). Just because she said sorry did not make their pain go away, just look at her mother.

I hope they don’t go that way with this drama. I was already upset by how he had forgiven her and was happy when she did that half-assed apology or more like excuses in the end of ep 8. In my opinion, she hadn’t meant that when she stormed out mid conversation the night before. She actually meant what he suspected.

Really? I think she have played badass characters more than other actress actually. Like in TTON, GB, MLL, TRWTMM etc. Yeah, would love to see her in a dark character too and without romance in it.

I don’t think Youjin’s brother is the cause for Minjae to break up with her. Minjae already said his part to him in ep 8 and I don’t think it will change. The one who could really make Minjae break up with Youjin is Youjin herself, maybe she once again did something mindless. Or it could be her parents or the math professor but I still think it’s either the parents or Youjin herself. I don’t think Minjae would give up on them because of some others, he made it clear with her brother. But he seems like he would respect her parents and might not be able to talk back like if they were his parents, so yeah, it’s either Youjin or her parents.

This character wasn’t necessarily bad for her, if anything, she get to portray something different from the usual kdrama fl. I think she is doing a great job doing Youjin Justice and that might just be because of it that we are annoyed with this character. If anything bad come from this, it’s those who can’t differentiate between the character and the real person. Like, I h*te the way Youjin do things but I don’t hate KSH for that. Actually, I even think she is doing a great job by calling reactions from audiences.

I wish to see more of this kind of flawed characters but please make it less annoying. Haha

Finally, the pace is picking up in ep 4 and I hope it keep going like this. We already have two death, it’s about time they give us some insight to the cause of this game being started.

Niide was talking about common denominator, I wonder if there really is one since they all not only came from different country but also have different occupation.

See the different between the meeting of Minjae’s mom with Youjin and Youjin’s brother with Minjae? What he did was clearly looking down on Minjae because of his disability. Much of what he said was downright insults, the whole time he was saying their family was conservative, I wondered how his face would be if only he knew his sister was the man in their relationship. 😤 Criticizing him is like looking down on Youjin so I will keep every other things I want to scream at him to myself.

I was really hoping for some awareness from Youjin’s side in today’s episode, but she did not only not have selfawareness, she even victimized herself, accused Minjae’s action to be done because she loved him more and he less and blamed Minjae when she was the one who gambled their relationship. Sure, it was Sejin who dared her but she was a choice and she risked their relationship. And then she have the nerve to claim she wasn’t going to break up with him if she had lost but she was hell-bent on making Sejin go through with their bet when she won. Wow. And then she ran off again when the conversation wasn’t finished yet and act like it was nothing the next day. I can’t defend her anymore fr. She have slowly lost all the point I have given her. The only thing I was proud of her in this episode was she encouraging Minjae not to give up on his dream.


It seems in the next episode, they are breaking up and I am actually happy for that. They need some growing up to do, mostly Youjin.

This drama is making me very moody. What I hate about a character is all in Youjin. She has annoyed the hell outta me. I watched this for Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun, I would have dropped this drama pretty earlier on if it was Choo Young Woo with another actress. I am still here only because it was Kim So Hyun.

But it’s said that they are the same age though, maybe months apart since Sejin addresses Minjae with hyung when talking to Youjin in the ending scene of ep. 7. So, they can’t be half brothers.
