I saw that interview too. Poor him really. lol To the point of saying that out loud, he must really feel that…
From the comments I had read, it’s not that his previous work were not good but it did not have that depth that could bring out his acting.

I really liked his portrayal of Minggyi Swa, just like I liked Tre’s Pra Naresuan, and this drama is my first watch of them both. I have gone back and see if there is work of them I would like to watch but I have not found anything that pull my attention as they mostly have romance and this fighting/bickering genre which isn’t my cup of tea. I hope their next projects will be something I like because I do want to watch their work.

Also, Nine’s drama that Ch3 had put on stock for years is finally about to air. Maybe it’s something you might want to check out.

As of 14/4, One31 channel had made a statement about the matter that had erupted so can some kind people bring that statement here too? So people can read both side of the story.

Unnecessary drama really but people love to talk and compare. There was no way the comic could be adapted anyway.…
I don’t really understand these people who were acting in behalf of the author, can’t they just told the author to sort it among the related like the adults they are? Right now it look more like they want to put their name on a work that they did not care only because it got big. And instead of sorting it among them, they let their fans work for them. 😩

I am certain this drama won’t be banned but it did bring negativity to it. I hope people can separate who they should be holding accountable.

It’s so true about the word queer-baiting, just like the word bromance.

Why is the fans of the comic author calling this work stolen when she herself said before that the two work did not have any connection? And then she came out with her statement and brought the drama when people were giving their attention to this drama. I don’t know how the screenwriter had done, queerbaiting or whatever and I don’t really care if she dislike queer story (because everyone had their own preference and their own belief) but what I hate is that out of this drama that should be sorted among themselves, this comic author used her fan base to troll the popularity of this drama, harassing the actors by claiming they are being ignorance by staying quiet. That is not the right way to go, drawing everything with a comb.

Now my question is, who is it that actually taking advantage of this situation. If the author had unfinished business, she could take it directly with the screenwriter but instead she brought up unnecessary drama and ruining every others’ hard work. What is it that she is after? Let’s say this drama was inspired by her work then what? It’s not like this drama was made out of her comic. Everyone can get inspiration by a work and get another story, should they give credit to the author for what they had made by that inspiration?

I would have understood her if her work was indeed turned into this drama and the screenwriter wronged her. But this work was only inspired by it, everything else is totally different and have different approach.

Another thing is, she was fine with how things turned out before and then changed now. Why?

And maybe the screenwriter hadn’t credited her because she doesn’t want to say that she got inspired by a bl comic when they are making this drama about two real historical figure. And from the author’s statement, it was stated and she had gone along with it and had been paid. She agreed to whatever agreement they had so why bring this drama and ruin the epic drama?

Exactly. I was thinking about them and the fans of their actors while I responded to you. 😹 They whine but they just couldn’t stop themselves from watching the work because of their bias. And these agencies/companies know it and take cover in them. Because no matter what they are making money nevertheless. Fans need to think who is making these companies spread their wings.

Yeah. They force themselves because it’s their bias and then they bash the director, producer when a series did not match the expectation and got criticism from others. They CAN’T not watch series/dramas with their bias so the change they want would never happen. Then they got frustrated and attack others. 💆🏻‍♀️

Yeah, I feel so sorry for them that because of this shipping, they have to repeat that there is no romance between the characters and that they did not make it with that bl element in mind. There is a few times they need to repeat that until the reporters stop. 🤦🏻 They know the sensitivity and really have to point it out but it’s like it fell to deaf ears. It almost seem like they are talking to a wall. And there are fans who blames the director or producer and claim they were the one queerbating even with the repeating they had done. I wish they could look at themselves in the mirror.

That is what I am saying, like she was fine with whatever she got before and now suddenly she act like she was wronged and want credit. I heard there are her fans banning this drama on twitter and I even saw them trolling in this drama’s related clips in One31 various platform.

Aside from the core element, the two works are totally different so I don’t know what they are on. But I do hope they can sort it out among them if there are things that should be sorted out and we get to finish this drama in peace. I hate all the trolling some people are trying to pull, very nasty.

She need to make money and there is those who truth her with their work enough to let her decide how many she want to put in and out of the queer element (if it was like you said that she did not like queer element) so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If the author of the work agree then there is nothing we can do. Well, we can not watch the drama she work with to show that we doesn’t want her if you want to make a point. But I don’t think those fans (of the actors/actress) would do that so I guess this loop will continue this way until fans are united enough and dare to risk.

I don’t follow screenwriters so I don’t know how she is as a person but I am amazed with the dialogues in the drama she had been screenwriter. Looking from her page in this site, I do have a few drama I have watched that she was a screenwriter of.

But if they were to adapt the comic and she called stop to the queer element then I would say she did the right call. Because that piece won’t have seen the dawn of the day otherwise.

One can interpret a work on their own way, true, but what way is there to interpret when the maker had already said they made it this way? You can’t go and say. Let’s say ’’a handsome girl’’ a man from her appearance just because you interpret her that way when she herself said she is a woman. Some things are doesn’t made to be taken out of context.

The screenwriter approached the author for I believe the idea of ’’what if’’ and not for the bl element. That’s the reason why they tried to negotiate. And they want to made what if that is based on a true story which the comic wasn’t. If the comic had been that, it won’t have seen the light of the day and the author might have suffered backlash.

And of course every story have two sides, I do not believe that the screenwriter did not have a say in it. Like I said, they have taken the idea of the author so yeah. We don’t know the agreement between them. But from my perspective, she had been paid and she was fine with it then. So why was she fine then? Did she think the drama that would be made won’t become this big? And don’t forget, she wasn’t talking about her work being copied (because it wasn’t, aside from the core of the story) but about the payment. So, did she want more money?

I also wish we did get the story from the screenwriter’s side.

I understand that, I do, and it was actually the reason my Bl drama list is very limited, but that doesn’t give them the right to claim an non-bl drama to be bl. Like with this drama, the general public are reminding them of how impolite it to ship the two princes, yet they go with ”it was only shipping for fun” or ”how far had we reached in time to care about it” and some even said ”maybe the two princes were actually gay, who knows?”. This kind of behavior frustrate others, especially the ones who want to enjoy the drama as it is or those who worship these two historical figures.

I am really, I emphasize really, fine with shipping for fun but one need to also consider if it’s suitable which in this drama’s case ISN’T.

Sometime I miss the time we enjoyed the work as they are without all these unnecessaries. There are lots of Bl out there, why this need to impose this element on something that wasn’t it?

Thank you for the clarification, helped me understand things much more.

I do think bl fans or fangirl/boy are sometimes just too much. The thing is even reporters and mc of entertainment news seems to go out of line and encourage these fans. I have watch interview of Nine’s or when the cast walked the carpet, the questions these reporters ask make me uncomfortable. Imagine having to repeat yourself again and again because they won’t stop until you answer them or until they got what they want. My respect for Nine for standing steady to his resolve. He did a good job.

As for the comic creator, I felt the same. I was asking myself why she come out now and not when she felt she was wronged. Who was it that actually riding the fame of other work.

I think we understood the statement of the author differently.

So this is from my understanding, the author talked about how a screenwriter contacted her regarding having interest in turning her work into something else (closer to the real history, I believe) and then she was called back to end their ’’collaboration’’ with the reason that in the tag of her work, there were talk about explicit shipping and fanart and doesn’t want her work or her name to be mentioned (meaning the work that was going to made into the series wasn’t the webtoon but what they had made from the idea of it which is them being brothers and not enemies, I believe) in what they were going to make.

She was given two choice;

1. To go along with their first agreement and have no connection to her work or name to the one they were going to make.
2. End their collaboration but the work that was made out of the idea will go ahead but won’t use the elements the author had in her work.

She choose to end their collaboration and didn’t have any connection to the work that was continued from then on (meaning the story of Hongsawadee happened after that).

She said the reason she came out about it was because she wanted to protect and heal the feelings of her fans who got backlash (I don’t know what backlash they got) and teach others to read the papers carefully so nothing go wrong.

So, I think their collaboration ended before it even started but the scriptwriter might have taken the core of the story, the brotherhood and it was all to it. And she was paid for that I believe so what is all the drama about?

Aside from that, the two story is very different and focuses on different things.
