I've been saying the ML is bad here but a lot of ppl think otherwise. A lot of times I don't even know who or…
Yeah. Looking back, there was not a single 'male' who was really, truly her friend (that didn't use her) and there wasn't a single female who didn't use her either. It was abuse straight up for ... 40 hours.
Qin Ke was not hot to me the whole show but weirdly when he pulled CZ in to “give” her the fruit in that scene…
When Wen Yue got angry - finally - at Chong Zi when she was simpering around after YF stood her up for the zillionth time... he was attractive. Yelling at female was not good, but he did something different than sulk and linger on his throne, so seeing him angry finally was O_o.
Well, now it makes sense how everyone looked like a clown. I have nothing against the actors, but like someone…
What cracks me up is that he had to have filmed this after Be My Princess, so he got the guy who played his manager in that in on this ride. Both of them were like, 'eh, we need something, lets do it'.

I was one of those people who thought the writing would make sense of the ML's ... choices. Instead, it didn't address them , skipped over them , and kept on moving. So I apologize for if I said anything prior. But, no, the ML was written to be just as bad as all the other dudes who had feelings for her or was involved with her.
Despite the negativity in all these reviews, I'd like to give a huge shout out to the cast who gave their all…

I have nothing against the actors, but like someone said earlier... maybe the script looked better before cuts (but I don't think so). Or maybe they all were bored and looking for work post pandemic. Who knows anymore.
Are you waiting until next week to watch it on the normal schedule? That's what I'm planning to do for now. If…
Maybe one day there will be a China media where they aren't so strict. :/ We can hope and dream, but for now, this is what it is and it sucks because so much creativity can get stifled. :(
If you watch Warm on a Cold Night you will see that another way is entirely possible. What we see here in Chong…
I've marathoned the hell out of Warm on a Cold Night. It's like a supernatural murder mystery story with good characters and adorable moments. Way better than this.
AND THAT'S MY ISSUE. It's not like Romeo and Juliet irony, there is horribly written not in the book irony that…
Thanks - I see and now I am aware. And oof, I have both of those messes on my to-watch list. I DNF'ed The Blue Whisper because of how lame everyone was and how the plot wasn't that good imo.

Has to have good writing, strong characters (I couldn't deal with the main girl from Ashes of Love) well rounded plot - can do historical, wuixia, or fantasy. I'm just really picky which is why my finished series is under 15 since starting this journey. I've been throwing everything on my 'to watch list' that has over an 8.0 or a 7.9 and reading the comments.

I think we learned a lesson or maybe there is a warning. If you have a show with so many red flags that may not be the best for Chinese drama television, MAYBE it should stay a novel.
But sorry your fave story got ripped apart here. :(
