1.) The BTS stuff shows they get married, unsure if it's at the end. 2.) He goes with her to some sort of rock quarry area and he and his men are protecting her. 3.) Grandmother passes I believe. 4.) She saves one of the princes and begins to be a tutor while in the palace. 5.) She finds out who he is because there is a shot of her visiting him in the prescient - her outfit is prior to that of her being the tutor and dressing elaborately, so I'm thinking it'll be fairly soon. 6.) They ride around on horses up north and seem to have episodes of them having a married life. When everyone is reunited with the husbands he is with them. 7.) He admits his feelings at one point, and she rejects him but then tells him she regrets it. 8.) I don't see him wearing his mask much anymore, so I'm thinking somewhere in the 20's he is removed from the job and follows her or escapes with her. 9.) There is a couple kiss scenes and 'romantic date moments'. 10.) He appears to still be teaching them at the rock quarry location.
I know why he said it, but oh my god, bosom friend! God, I would be embarrassed as well. Poor girl. But we totally…
He'll get better! He hasn't really done anything bad, and plus, he only knows what the brother said and how he felt. I'm pretty sure that they're gonna go through some rough times, and he and his brother will have a redemption arc of sorts.
I'm really enjoying how the story also prioritizes the development of side characters not just on the main romantic…
I think once he has more screen-time / focus and gets integrated within the family we'll have some stronger scenes. Right now, he's pretty reserved due to his dual roles.
I know why he said it, but oh my god, bosom friend! God, I would be embarrassed as well. Poor girl. But we totally know he's going to have difficulty being 'friends' with her. I love how the family is like, 'yeah, you should get it with him'.
This feels very Austen-esque. The ML isn't ugly, and he isn't an idol boy, but his actions, his fighting, his enjoyment of everything she does is what makes him handsome.
I love that he episode ends where our cute little sis is gonna meet ex-fiance's bro! They're gonna be the cutest little couple.
What’s wrong with ML’s sister and his relationship with his father?
Basically, from what the BTS videos said, Uncle raised the kid like one of his own, so he favors ML a lot. This causes a lot of emotional issues at home with his family, esp. his father because his dad thinks he truly likes the uncle over him.
The sister is probably autistic, so as you can see, their methods were like 'take this medication, it will cure you', and they abuse her in a sense (or in our modern viewing eyes). She also feels guilty / sad over what happened to their mom, and spends her time fixating on her to not forget her.
Something else I liked about this: this show showcases a god with mortal-esque feelings, which makes it very modern in a way or relatable. Many xianxia's have gods who are top tier, stifled, perfect. XZ has flaws (which he has a huge rant about in the later episodes) and it's like, you're watching a story about a god who is lonely and probably would have committed suicide or something but his 'status' keeps him there. And, the first time he falls in love or understands how to feel the emotions or tap into them it just opens the floodworks and he starts questioning himself and his purpose. You don't really see that in stories about gods, or many films about religions. The 'chosen deity' has to suck it up and deal for the sake of of the story, but in this one, you don't have a perfect person... in all aspects, XZ was like a mortal man who was born in an god body.
Anyway. Hope to see some of you in Blossoms in Adversity! It's a good one!

Nope, and she still doesn't as of Ep13. :)
