The dude reminds me of Benedict Cumberbatch. He isn't handsome per se, but his actions and care towards her makes him handsome. I love how comfortable they are around one another already. It's sweet.
Dude, LGX has such a commanding body frame like that. I wish he kept it. If he wanted to put muscle on it, go for it, but he should have kept it. The men that they have playing commanding roles and what not who are thin thin have me going ehhhhh.

I like that the woman is both vulnerable and strong, that she has faults but loves as well. It can be hard to write a female like that because one wants to either make her a damsel or one wants to make her too bitchy. Shen Li falls in the middle where she is just neither and is caring while fierce.

I haven't watched much CDramas but the things they excel in is giving clean romance, but you have to accept there will be poorly written ones sometimes due to censorship. :/
In this one I appreciate with how far it could go. They tried as best as they could. And for the CCP to allow what we saw is a blessing.
I also love that Mme. Jin was fluid with their sexuality. That too seemed to be a step towards... something.
now that i think about it, replacing XZ biting SL's neck with him rubbing her belly was so smart..both actions…
He was touching her below the waist. Even in Western films, historical, to touch that low was for the husband. Not quite mound but just above and by bellybutton.

This. Sex and vulnerability has to come naturally and earned. It's stronger and more beautiful that way (to me). People can bitch saying it's too slow or wasted, but for me who loves this kind of natural, simplicity intimacy? It surpassed in flying colors. For them to build up to this moment means so much more to the viewer.

What I love about this show is that even though there is no sex, the physical touch means just as much as the sexual side. I know people rag on the writers, but for me (as an ace person) physical touch means a lot. This show does such a beautiful, healthy form of it. It's like, I wish things like this existed more often for people like me. :')
