Sometimes you just gotta see for yourself. Which is what happened. She is pretty anti gods so she thinks he is probably being too light about it, but now seeing the full reasons and the outcome of half of his friends, yeah... she gets it now.
I love Ep21 because she realized everything in that moment: how truly difficult it is, how lonely, and how much he wanted to tell her but could not. He didn't tell her he didn't love her, just that he can't. Two different things. She got the answer.
