I miss kdramas as they made them a few years back, hell, I'd bribe someone just to time travel back to da good old days when sagueks were worth the wait (remember they aired them back to back at year ends? Good times) and shows like Because This Is My First Life aired. The sagueks fell off, and the contemporary drama's are more cringe than I'd like to admit, I watch more c and j dramas because. And you're right, them trying to please the western audience/recycling script was what stole the originality that attracted people to Korean shows initially. I hope to God kdramas don't end up in the same pothole as their ancestors the Spanish dramas sunbaes. Sigh. I still have hope for kdramas though, hopefully.
