I am really enjoying this drama, great fight scenes, good tension and chemistry. The makeup is a little extreme but it suits the dark mood. I don’t normally buy into the woman passing as a man but she has harder features and it works to pass her of as a young man.
I am also wondering if he is a REAL eunuch or not? How will their relationship unfold. The ML with his hairs down is quite spectacular!
What’s with the crappy rating??? This actually quite good, beautifully cinematography and the forest as a background is gorgeous. Totally slow burn, each episode layers something new on and builds the relationship. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds
Joss in a speedo was breathtaking. He is so friggin gorgeous, every time I see his face, it just lights up the screen. I have to say I’m actually really enjoying the show, love watching their relationship develop and they have great chemistry and kisses: my favourite part of the show is actually watching Jose’s micro expressions, the knowing smile, eyebrow raise, etc…I’m totally captivated.
Oh and one more mention…can we say Joss in a Speedo 🤤
I wanted to love this because I love Xianxia and LXY but for some reason it just felt like it was missing something, their chemistry was just okay and maybe thats what it was. Maybe too many plot holes….. Don’t get me wrong there was lots of great stuff, the humour and bromance was awesome. Also loved all the crafted items, airship was amazing. Some very unique ideas. Also great ost. Solid 8.5/10

Nothing wrong with that. Real and mature romance tends to have Skinship and kisses. It’s normal. I get that he doesn’t usually do kissing scenes but it would still be nice to have as it usually adds to the emotion and intimacy.
Don’t know why the MDL rating is so low but this is my rewatch and it’s still awesome. Granted the plot is not perfect BUT still a great story with great acting. The desert background feels fresh and different.

I finally watched this drama. I put it off because I read that the last 6 episodes were rough and it wasn’t a HE an I always tho k twice about traumatizing myself. Omg so glad I finally watched!!!! One of the absolute best Cdramas I’ve ever watch. Loved Lui Yuning, his acting was exceptional and he looked absolutely gorgeous in this role. I loved the anti hero story and the chemistry between the leads was exceptional. The FL was such a badass and I loved how she was so forward and flirty. Let’s talk about the bromance and team dynamic….gave off avengers vibe and they were so funny! This team dynamic was the core of this drama. Allen Fang playing Yu Shishan was brilliant, he should win an award for this role. Also have to comment about the fighting sequences which were spectacular, I loved that they used new ideas and incorporated so many unique elements .

On a positive note I truly believe we had a Happy Ending, just wasn’t as obvious as we all wanted but made sense since they faked their deaths in the beginning so why not come full circle with the story.
Needless to say, can’t say enough about this drama. I have watched 100’s of dramas and this is one of the best!
This episode was freaking hot, their chemistry is crazy and the NC scene was soooo sexy. BUT you know it’s a BL fantasy because Honey in real life is sticky and uncomfortable as shit (personal experience) but it sure looked hot AF LOL
I finally watched this show, not sure why I waited so long. Maybe cause it looked like a cutsy romcom….it was and more . Wow what an amazing drama the whole cast was exceptional, leads had amazing chemistry and their banter was priceless…and then we get to the serious stuff. Omg I was crying my eyes out for several episodes. Love, friendship, healing and forgiveness!!!

Just because someone is repentant doesn’t mean they should be forgiven or allowed back into your life. She was one of the worst, selfish mothers I have ever seen in cdramaland. If it was real life she deserved to be jailed for what she did in her daughter.
She chose to detach herself from her toxic past and choose a future of happiness. Brave girl.
So does the FL really not forgive her mother and make peace with her own mother?
I’m actually so happy to see that she did not stay in touch with her mother. In many Asian dramas in seems that you must give in to family no matter how badly they treat you. Her mother was selfish and treated her like trash. A mother should love and protect her child not abandon them. The scene where she is telling her mom how scared she is and begging her to save her and she did nothing. Completely and total betrayal and utterly unforgivable.
Just because someone gave birth to you doesn’t mean they are a parent. I think she came to terms with their past and decided to not stay in the toxic relationship. I love that she had to courage to stand up for herself finally and choose happiness.
