What of the most beautifully filmed Cdramas I’ve ever watched. So many wonderful things in this drama. First and foremost, this gave us one of the most memorable FLs ever!! Tian Xi Wei embodies this role, she manages a perfect balance of this character’s innocence, loyalty, strength, fierceness and resilience. I absolutely had a girl crush on her, she was amazing!
Ok now the Ultimate eye candy Zhang Ling He! Seriously I didn’t think a human could be this beautiful but it’s not just that his handsome but his onscreen presence is next level. He also does a great job showing vulnerability and strength, playing Yan Zheng and then the Marquis. All I know is that every time the man made a major entrance I held my breath. I do wish we had seen him on the battlefield and fighting more. ZLH is incredibly talented and I feel like the drama missed out on that.
The supporting actors, they were all beautiful, male and female, although like everyone else I just wanted to hug Qi Min and save him. Deng Kai did a super job, I hope he gets more roles after this. The other Sui brother was also amazing. Both actors gave us a masterclass in crazy and it was perfect.
The cinematography, costumes and actors were all amazing and like everyone else I gorged on this drama. My only disappointment were the last few episodes being rushed. I wish they would have given more time to the climax and explanation. That part was a little confusing and underwhelming. The alternate timeline ending I could also have done without. A proper wedding or showing us leads with their kids would have been so much more satisfying.
Overall well worth it and will absolutely rewatch!!

Finally watched all the episodes and this BL deserves so much more attention. Why is it not being promoted?? PerthSanta are doing a great job acting and it’s such a unique premise but it works. It’s interesting and emotional to see how each lead reacts when it’s Sun or Solar. From Pombecks vs Solars perspective.
Seriously can’t handle this 1/week and the series is too short although we will hopefully get season 2. I love this BL so much, beautifully filmed, great script, gritty and raw, the leads have such amazing chemistry and now enters 2nd couple and wow!! China please keep releasing up more BLs!
Episode 5 - the dream, wow what a kiss and so sexy and beautifully done. The scene where Chu San is hanging the sheet and Liu Yi walks in the middle took my breath away. The tension is fantastic. Can’t wait for next week
Finally had a chance to watch episode 4, need more!!!! I am so obsessed with this BL, love their chemistry and such a great production and story. Chu San is so into him, all those lingering glances. I also love how Xia Liu Yi feels comfortable enough to fall asleep in his bed. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds. I wish this BL was like 20’episodes

Of course they like each other…did you miss all the glances? The fact that he falls asleep in Chu Sans room says how much he trusts him and feels comfortable. The like each but haven’t admitted to themselves yet
Watching this for the 5th time and It just keeps getting better. Their love story is epic and I love her unshakeable devotion for him. Leads have since tension and chemistry. Plot still works well all these years later and still plays with my emotions. Still 10/10 for me. Truly one of my all time favourite modern dramas.

Canadian Fan - I’m so excited for this BL, I have been looking forward to this since it was announced. Chinese BLs just hit different and are always amazing. 1st episode was really well done! I actually really liked the leads and feel like they are going to have great chemistry and the Tory looks really intriguing. I’m so used to hearing mandarin in dramas that the Cantonese sounds strange. Fingers crossed that this is going to be a good BL
Lots of good things and not so good things about this drama. The leads were perfectly casted and I loved Mu Quingans character, he was incredibly interesting and loved how smart and cunning he was but also how devoted he was to the FL. He was also absolutely stunning to look at. Felt like they didn’t take this character far enough. Leads had so much chemistry and they did a great job building tension throughout. I also really loved some of the scenes they filmed on the mountains. We usually see so many green screens or stages that this was a nice add.
Thoroughly enjoyed it up to episode 32ish and then I’m not sure what happened…:the last 5 episodes felt very choppy and rushed, the villain reveal was so anticlimactic and a little disappointing. Lingbo and Cai Zhao watching her mother get murdered was ridiculous, acting was terrible and over the the top and weren’t they suppose to be running away? The ending scenes were just weird, men wearing makeup and flowers, slow motion walking and running…a normal wedding would have been so much more meaningful or a scene with their child. Felt like they ran out of ideas and just put a bunch of weird things together.
Some strange choices by the director as well as poor editin, could have been so much better . Not perfect but I still enjoyed it 8/10
This drama is so refreshing, I’m usually obsessed with MLs and still am but let’s talk about the FL. She is so badass and sweet and loyal at the same time. They are going to become one of my favourite CPs
The drama itself is visually spectacular, beautifully filmed and gorgeous lighting. There are times when ZLH looks like some magical creature…gah he is just so gorgeous. Aside from the visuals, the story has been amazing and it feels like something new especially the FLs character. Both leads are doing an excellent job making us fall in love with them.
I have to add I love the 4 hooligans too, I hope that’s going to be her gang and support.
