I am absolutely loving this drama. Watching Changxuan grow and evolve is a beautiful thing, watching Ye Pingjun herself permission to start accepting her feelings for him. Can’t wait for tomorrow night.

I have watched a lot of Republican Era dramas and so many can be toxic throughout, Leads always scheming and love/hate each other. I think this one is going to give us a much better balance.

I hope they give us some sweetness better the leads before the throw in the terror again.

This drama is so underrated and a total 💎, deserves a much higher score. I think people were expecting a romance and that is not what this was. Original plot and next level scheming, kept me guessing throughout the drama. I went through a roller coaster of emotions and I’m glad the directors didn’t put her right back into a romance. This was all about resilience in the face of deep pain and hurt, building her self back up, becoming independent and encouraging others to also do the same. I can imagine that they all got their happy endings and Di Liren is still screaming. Definitely worth the watch and fantastic acting!

I still think they will tone it down, especially the brother thing but who knows maybe they will go all out. I think I felt sissy was worse because the MC was a doormat so maybe it made everything feel worse but you’re right this may be worse.

I lover her books! I’ve read all the translated books in the 188 series and sissy is probably the most toxic followed by this one. I think they will definitely tone it down for TV, the novel has some pretty crazy stuff in it.

As someone who is a fan of Red Flags and Republican era craziness and have seen all the above mentioned and more, I’m chuckling at the newbies who are freaking out over this. Although I think part of it is seeing Chen Lei in this type of role..I’m counting my blessings LOL

I agree Changxuan has barely done anything to FL. Loving the tension between the leads. Thank you episode 8 for the bathtub scene and sexy fantasy. That was all beautifully done and so hot 🥵

Look at the era and the way men in power behaved. I don’t think it’s being childish, I think he is struggling to admit his feelings for her but also feeling possessive. He has schemes to manage, family expectations and an army to manage, his responsibilities are heavy. When a person is torn they sometimes lash out or just say stupid things.

I don’t condone his behaviour but can understand his predicament based on his backstory.

And sexiness. We have all had those erotic type fantasies and add Cheng Lei in the bathtub. I think it’s relatable, especially when you first fall for someone.

Thank you Episode 8 for Cheng Lei’s bathtub scene, between his fantasy and him, that was very hot. The man has it down bad for her, I can feel the yearning and desire to possess.

Personally I am loving this drama, Red flag and all. Their chemistry is next level and so much tension. I love that Ping Jun is not a pushover and stands up to him and everyone else. Changxuan pretending to be a shameless playboy but really he has a heart but still arrogant. I think he is trying to balance a lot of hidden schemes. It will be interesting to see ho he wins her over and also comes to terms with his feelings.

I know many fans are having a hard time with Cheng Lei as a Red Flag but he is doing such a good job embodying this role. Absolutely worth the watch

The plot is excellent but yes he take its toll on the viewer so hopefully they give us something so we can move on to the next part of the story

Love and hate this drama. Love the plot and actors, seriously keeping me at the edge of my seat. The problem is acting is too good and i genuinely want to kill her husband for her. Such a disgusting parasite but kudos to Qiao Zhenyu for doing such a good job with this role! He is truly making me hate him.

All this secret scheming is getting to me, I hope we finally see some unraveling the next 2 episodes. Seriously such a good drama so far, the storytelling and scheming are so good.

I need some romance soon though to make up for all this toxic crap. Let’s hope divorce and karma is right around the corner.

I am absolutely loving this drama, o can’t wait for karma but I hope they don’t drag her staying with the disgusting husband for too long. I also hope that after all the scheming we do get romance. Fingers crossed

Cheng Lei looks absolutely gorgeous in this drama. Love how shameless he is and looking forward to his Red Flag performance. The first 4 episodes were amazing and I’m hooked Cheng Lei and Xu Ruohan have killer chemistry too. I know this is republican era so it’s a given that there will be angst, betrayal, slaps, steamy kisses, possessive domineering man and lots of pain…I hope the balance it better than Overdo, that was way too much. Fingers crossed that it’s going to be done right!

Just binged watched the first 17 episodes and I’ve really enjoyed it. Not much of a fan of time loops but this has been really interesting. Love the romance and both leads are gorgeous, the acting is really good and ML is so good in the fight scenes. Well worth the watch so far

I am so excited for this BL!! I have read all the translated novels in the 188 series and liked this novel but it was disturbing. If the director stays true to the original, this will be a very dark toxic ride so everyone buckle up your seatbelt and get ready for some serious crazy stuff.

I wasn’t sure about the casting at first but bank (Ing) has so much charisma and does a great job being a shameless flirt. Copter (Yok) is also acting well, can’t wait for the flip. Want to see him obsessively chasing Ing. Chemistry is fantastic and really liked the first 2 episodes.
