Y’all.... 98% of us don’t care about who she ended up with, we’re just pointing out that this was some pretty bad writing, especially when you consider that they had 2 years to get it right but failed. Lol this isn’t start up 2.0, we aren’t in ship wars.
Honestly, as much as I like jjxsh (chemistry was spectacular if you ask me, but it was a relationship with problematic tendencies), my issue with this season isnt the the fact that they didn’t end up together. My issue is that the writing and development made no sense. I think the plot device of the sml ending up with the girl is a novel trope that should be utilized more often in the future, but it only makes sense when you’ve built chemistry, tension, and passion with that character. We did not see this here. They spent the whole first season building jj and sh with all that chemistry and screen time. You can’t just turn around and be like “nope”. If you’re going to do that, you need to build that same chemistry(maybe even more intense) with the sml as well. This plot progression would have been fantastic and refreshing for dramas like cheese in the trap, school 2015, or even True beauty, where we see that buildup of chemistry that makes us feel conflicted between the ml and sml. But here it made no sense, and that’s what making me pull my hair out in confusion. There would be nothing wrong with her ending up with hy if the writers had built the plot to end in that destination. But damn, two years and this was the result? P.s I’m not angry, I’m just madly baffled.
I'm really hoping I misinterpreted the scene where May Unnie said she was not ace anymore after meeting secretary…
She’s still ace, she explained that she can still have romantic relationships and that she falls on a spectrum. A lot of asexual people identify with this, so the show actually did a great job.
I remember when the trailers came out for this drama and I was like this looks boring af. And then I saw it on Netflix during it premiere week and I was bored enough to watch the first episode. By then end of ep 2 I was hooked. And now I’m so sad that it’s ending tomorrow.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the whole medicine thing. He’s not sterilizing her, it’s simply a contraceptive. Its basically birth control. Because of all the injuries she sustained in the first kidnapping from Helan, plus the stress of the miscarriage and her mom’s death, she basically lost any ability to get pregnant. If by some slight chance she does get pregnant, giving birth to that child will most likely kill her. Thus why XQ is secretly giving her the medicine. I believe he will tell her about it soon, I think he just wanted to prevent her from another heartache, especially when you consider how bearing children is what gave women value back then.
I absolutely LOVE this drama but I have to say that everyone isn't obligated to like it. I think it's time we…
I agree, but it’s also annoying when the same person comments the same thing over and over again. There’s a difference between constructive criticism and straight up trolling.
Lol it seems that the trolls have entered the chat, if you don’t like the drama, that’s okay. But you don’t need to repeat it over and over again. There’s plenty of other dramas to watch, simply move on and stay blessed. :)
Congrats to the cast for all the awards won at the 2020 Apan Star Awards!! -Popular Star Award, Actor - Popular Star Award, Actress - Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries - Best Supporting Actor
Can we appreciate the fact that even though he was worried about MJ, SG didn’t invade her space and stayed outside the fence till she came out herself. He didn’t try to barge in or force her to talk to him. The healthiness of this show is blowing my mind. And I know people don’t like breakup tropes but I believe it was executed perfectly here and it was realistic. The reality is, no one would have that kind of confrontation with their significant others parent and not feel some kind of way, no matter how strong you are. So I’m glad MG got to vocalize how she felt and SG got to listen while reassuring her of his feelings.
I have a question. Does the male lead has some kind of autism ?
A lot of people have actually brought up this possibility . While I don’t think the drama will necessary explore this or “categorize” him as such, I do believe he displays neurodivergent tendencies.
