For me it's better than donghua vers, bcs donghua vers, Wu Geng kept losing and his character is litl bit childish, also maybe bcs it's donghua with many seasons, the process is too long, so it's tiring watching it. For all, the drama vers is much better with the growth, deep meaning & wisdom. All characters are written so well including the supporting roles, except Bai Cai's character, she's so much better in donghua, a soft, calm and kind hearted lady (sadly she's weak), somehow in drama vers, she's a litl bit too noisy (but she's stronger). The drama team wanted to make her like a bright young girl (as usual FL character in cdrama), but bcs I alr watched the donghua, the change of her character is litl bit disappointing.
Ren Jialun.. there's something about the way he chooses his dramas, it's truly extraordinary, not every actor can do that. Maybe, his dramas are not everyone's taste, but they're certainly amazing and have meaning, wisdom, maturity and messages in them, which always provide surprises. I really like his style of choosing dramas, and can't wait for what other surprises he brings.

Finally watching these all available 22 eps. I do really love the leads' story and relationship (they're not together yet), they're unconsciously sharing, caring, healing and warming for each other, and also their banter is really cute, with the bright 'weirdo' Qi Lianshan.
Both have their pain background story that traumatic them. Liu Xia is still handling it, while Shanshan slowly move on with his principle that 'I don't want the people that I love to feel the pain that I felt, betrayed, abandoned, lonely'. That's why, he always tries his best to caring the heart of everyone around him, not to hurt them and to be loyal with them.
