Well if we are talking about acting-dol dramas then we can't leave out
- Dream High ( Suzy from Miss A, Taecyeon and Wooyoung from 2pm, IU and Eunjung from T-ara).
-I also loved Reply 1997 ( which had Eunji from Apink, Seo In Guk who is a soloist and Hoya from Infinite).
I am not against idols in dramas because a lot of the time these idols wanted to be actors in the first place and were put into the group anyway. I also haven't seen an idol whose acting was so horrible that it ruined the drama.

Some of my favourite ( that I could think of at this moment )acting idols would be:
Eunji from Apink- I do admit that she kind of plays the same character but she plays them well dammit!
Doojoon from Beast : I loved him in Let's Eat and Splash Splash Love that I sometimes forget he is an idol.
Junior from Got7: I have only seen him My Love Eundong but he was so good that I look forward to his other works.
Eunjung from T-ara: It's a shame that because of the T-ara scandal her acting career has been put on pause because she really is a great actress.

Well we clearly have different tastes since Reply 1997 is my favorite drama but after watching 94 and 88, the nothing storyline gets repetitive and boring. A drama that I just did not like despite the hype was Coffee Prince, I just found the story kind of boring. I also don't like the Hong sister dramas that I have seen, especially You're beautiful which I dropped after 2 episodes. Finally, every Lee Min Ho drama that I have seen was just so meh that I just don't get the hype around him.

Although I did enjoy the drama, it's definitely not my fav reply. I think the problem I had with it was that it was so similar to the other ones that it kind of felt repetitive. This can be mostly seen when looking at the 5 teenage leads of the drama where IMO they are exactly the same as the teenagers in the other series. Which is why i loved the family/adults more than the teenagers this season. I also didn't care about Sunwoo and Bora storyline so the last episode was fast forwarded a lot. Similar to Reply 94, 88 started out really strong and became kind of meh near the end for me. I don't know if I will watch the next reply if it's going to have the same set up as the other because I would like to have something different. All in all for me it was a solid 7.

I am still only on episode 17 for this drama but I have seen what has happened and I am not actually that disappointed, surprised but not disappointed. For me, I actually didn't care about the main gang of friends or the love triangles because I realized that they are pretty much copies of the gang from 94 and 97. What kept me interested in this drama was the parents and their relationships. I found them to be the best part of this drama.
I admit I liked Junghwan more than Taek but Junghwan barely had anything in the middle of the drama while Taek storyline only developed even more. I'm curious to see how this drama will end but I don't regret watching this drama just because of my ship not happening. Although, I will probably wait until the next reply is finished airing before starting to avoid all the drama.

I did appreciate that the writer did try to do something different but I felt it could have been handled better. The opening definitely spoiled the second half of the drama. When new characters would appear you would already know they're working for the bad guy just by watching the opening.

The cute parts between the drama was one of the reasons that I continued. I do enjoy suspense but the case in America was boring and predictable IMO compared to the other cases in the drama. That ending was just so WTF because it ruined the last five minutes where everyone was happy and moving past the horrible things that happened to them and then he gives that weird psycho look? If there is another season I will probably wait until it's finish before I decide to watch it.

I really liked this drama when I first started watching, but somewhere near the halfway point or when they went to the US is when I lost interest in this drama. I ended up fast forwarding through the second half of this drama jut to see how it ended ( which was kind of a weird ending). Such a shame because everyone else seems to love this drama.

I am more than halfway through this drama and I agree. Her character is not that demanding and could be played by many other actresses. I also heard that this character is similar to her character in Rich Man Poor Woman (which I haven't seen), so this role isn't that new to her.

Seeing these end of the year polls just made me realize that I don't watch a lot of currently airing dramas as much as I thought I did (but that is what 2016 is for). Although Sensory couple wasn't the best drama of the year I definitely think that Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung should have been nominated for best couple since that was probably the stronger part of the drama and they were so adorable together. My favorite drama for this year is Angry Mom and best actress for me was Kim Hee Sun who was amazing in that role. Thanks again for the work you put into these awards! (Sorry for the long comment)

I am currently watching from Five to Nine and enjoying it but Satomi Ishihara is the not the best actress of the year IMO. I admit that I didn't watch a lot of J-dramas from this year but I could already tell before even voting that 5 to 9 and Ouroboros are going to win the majority of the categories since it seems those were the only dramas that most people watched this year. BTW Love the formatting and thanks for the all the hard work that you put into these awards!

I absolutely loved this drama special! This drama was so fluffy and cute, Even thought I loved this drama, I think that 2 episodes was great for this story or else this would have dragged. Definitely, check this out this drama if you are looking for a good short rom-com. Can't wait to see Kim Seulgi in more lead roles!

I can't believe that literally a day after I watched this movie in crappy quality the HD version comes out.

I wanted to wait until the show was finished to start but I just couldn't help myself and I watched the first two episodes. I already love the show and I am stopping myself from watching more.

This drama is probably the funniest drama that I have ever seen. I am only on episode 20 right now but I still really recommend this drama even if it's a daily drama.

Great article! I have never seen a Mainland China drama before but this seems like a good drama to start with. The title is a bit cheesy which is why I didn't give it a chance when I saw it on Viki but by reading your article I will definitely check it out once it's finished airing.
Also is it just me or has the quality in production for Chinese dramas went up a lot lately and that there are more non-historical dramas coming out?

I haven't dropped that many dramas since I am the kind of person that will stick to it especially if I am halfway through the drama. When looking at my dropped list, I do notice that I dropped all them because I just didn't care about the characters and how it was going to end. Or it was that I started a drama, waited to see how it ended and when I didn't like the ending dropped it (*cough* Prime Minister and I, High School King of Savvy and Orange Marmalade * cough) By the way great article!

Dramafever and CJ E&M ( the company that owns TvN) have a new deal where Dramafever will now have the licence for TvN dramas. Variety shows and Dramas from OCN, Onstyle and Mnet will also probably air on dramafever too.

I should just point out that currently the subs at drama cool are pretty bad as in it looks like they put everything in google translate and that's what we got. It will still give you a basic understanding of what is going on but I would say wait until better subs come out.

My first drama was Boys over Flowers, it was just so ridiculous that I just couldn't look away. But now it's like the more dramas I watch, the more I realize how bad it was.
