I really like the ending for this drama because everyone has happy ending. I was really sad that Shoko passed…
It felt like they were setting it up for Shoko to pass away, but they probably didn't have enough time to cover that storyline. So I'm happy that they decided to give everyone a happy ending.
Is there anything else that was different from the manga?
I thought ep 1 flew by. It's one of those times when I'm like wow, Jdramas are FAST. They covered a lot of grounds.Ep…
I think that's why I enjoyed ep 2 more. Compared to the first episode where so much was going on, the second episode focused on the female leads and their growing friendship
I'm happy with the ending, when they got back together it felt off and it became clear that it would be best for them to break up and move on with their lives.
good ep 7. I really love their character development !!! And we see their family and how they think. The upbringing…
It was great to see how both of their siblings reject the "old-fashioned" values. Especially Katsuo's brother who doesn't want to force gender norms/roles on his daughter after growing up in a patriarchal household.
When the drama was airing I didn't watch it because the poster and the premise didn't seem interesting and I'm not a fan of amnesia trope.
However, I'm glad I gave this drama a chance because it was a such a pleasant surprise! The drama kept you guessing until the final episode and took an interesting and unique approach to the amnesia trope.
While I'm a bit annoyed, I can see why Ayumi's growth has been slower than Katsuo.
Katsuo has friends/co-workers that point out his flaws and are helping him through his journey. Meanwhile, it doesn't look like Ayumi has any friends and it took meeting Nagisa to realize she's unhappy in her relationship. Nagisa is also letting Ayumi figure it out herself.
Hopefully Ayumi and Minato breaking up leads to the drama focusing more on her journey.
The reliance of OTT platforms like Netflix have definitely had a negative impact on the kdrama industry but Netflix doesn't care because they're able to afford the high production costs and the networks can't which works in their favour (Hasn't it come out that despite some dramas being a hit in the ratings the networks still don't make a profit because of the high production costs?).
Once thing I have noticed is that the same actors keep getting cast in dramas. I read somewhere that it's because OTT platforms want to pick actors that they know will do well on their platforms/have a global fanbase.
