This review appears on the front page of this drama and it seems to share the same concept with a lot of others. But reading through it, made me a little sad as it seems that you completely missed the message, thus reinforcing the need for such productions. This was not supposed to be a thriller, a mystery or a romance drama and even less, a combination of the above. Let us blame the tags, as it does say : Genres: Thriller, Mystery, Romance, Drama. Yes , dramas do fall under the ( one of the three ways of coping with uncomfortable emotions ) umbrella. But for someone who noticed the details, not acknowledging the subject which is, sometimes, to directly spoken, feels like a drama cliche on it's own. My feeling says that you can do better. Best regards.
The Hong Sisters strength is the dialogue. They are known for the swift wit and rapid back and forth as was shown…
The script is just a small part in what is the art of storytelling. A lot goes in, from how the scenes are shot, the editing, the transitions, the lighting, the sound, the soundtrack (note how most dramas have the same song for the romantic scene for example, yet the atmosphere is different), the story that goes beneath!, the symbolism, etc. and most important the attention to detail. And this is how Blade Runner (1982) became a cult movie ( although it is a B movie) and Parasite (2019) won the Palme d'Or. Specific example: when they annouced that they are married at the Unanimous Assembly, the whole set failed to create the tension necessary to boost the acting. These are the things that I am talking about. I couldn't really say something bad about JSM's acting, yet she has roles in D-Day, which would be the most stupid drama I have ever seen and TSHLYE, which would be the most frustrating drama. And I have no problem with the ending. They served this rich, yet toxic, dish and in the last episodes someone comes and tells you that you have to put some cheap ketchup on it, making even the dramatic ending pointless. BTIMFL was fun, MFIS ..... Oo.K. thank you Lee Yoo Ri for lighten up some of the cringe scenes.
Its not bad but i think in s1 there were a lot of things going on and all the different characters had their own…
I have no problem with the story, the pace of it, or the plot (the fact that Naksu lost her memory leaves room for things to happen between them so I don't find it a cliche). I can even look past the inconsistency in the logic of the story. For me the director and the screenwriters slacked off a little in this second part. To give you a somehow opposite example, jdrama Love and Fortune, the story is pulp fiction (search for meaning) but the storytelling is good. The director made a very good job.

I see you don't know what I am talking about, and you just jumped to an acid comment. You can tell a story using no words, so it is not about the dialog and it is certainly not about which actress plays the role. And even if I like JSM it doesn't mean I would automatically like every production she has been cast on, that would be childish. But maybe, you, have a problem with JSM.
kind of an unpopular opinion but i lowkey didn't feel the romance between the leads in s1. yes there was chemistry,…
If we follow the story and the characters intentions and background, this how is supposed to be, less romantic. I will actually be disappointed , after Naksu character regains her memory, if there will not be any kind of shift in this romantic feeling.
The storytelling (meaning the way you tell the story) was way better in the first season. Why do we have to come back to same dull way of storytelling that 95% of dramas have?
I followed people's comments and gave this drama a shot. What a disappointment. Whoever did this drama made absolutely no effort in researching or even a have a friendly talk with a consultant. This was more like, how you shouldn't do it. The actors did their job, but that would be the only positive thing about this production and maybe a very little praise for using a Tarkovsky technique on camera work.
Is English your second language? Do you have to google translate the comments and something gets lost in translation? Randomly picking parts of my comments and twist them to your resolve, gives you some kind of pleasure? "Im not and i ll never be." I am not ok with it either and that is why I am not ok with your comment too, you have the same mindset as the bigots, only the values are different. Religion could be someones way of life, but is people like you who will go forth and make it a horror movie. You are just changing one prejudice for another. And yes Good luck to you too being proud of your ignorance. Feel free to reply with yet another self righteous comment, just so that you will have the last word. You are as tiresome as the fanatics, so I will stop here.
I am not justifying anything. There is a difference between a thought and an action. - "I asked if you justify the same way, a racist, a hater, a sexist, someone who kills, castrates, condemns people because they are what they are." You are the one who condemns people for what they are by calling out a virgin. You are the one who is setting limits, it is ok (to be a virgin) only in the way you see it as ok. Just like a racist, a hater and so on. It doesn't matter if he is a virgin because of society , religion or whatever. His/her state, as a virgin, only affects him and no one else. You have a problem with religion, society and what else you may have a problem with, doesn't mean that he/she has, because everyone has a different perception. You are the one with a huge amount prejudice like all the ones you stated above. You shouted: "red flag" , by rising your own red flags. Do you want to be free of all those you mentioned? Start by not being like them. Do you understand now?
Oh, man. I feel like we are going in circles. They knew more than you think and at the same time they knew nothing, just like us today. Every thing that goes through a human mind is subjective. They justified something, like how your justifying yourself through your projection , based on what you understand, of what is a truth( the only undeniable truth, for a human, being death). And that is why I said you don't do better. Is just like the expression -The pot calls the kettle black- . We are trapped, and instead of looking at something through different perspectives and change the way we think, we just change the surroundings to our way of thinking. They did it, you are doing it, we all doing it. You will find that even in the academic world this problem persists. It think you wrote about dolphins and the fact that they are having sex for pleasure. Then I will come and say that because they live in groups, it is a good way of strengthening group unity. Does this mean that I am right? I don't know, but I do know that you are not right too, just because you watch the world through just one window. I didn't reply to your initial comment, I replied to the one where you started justifying yourself, with the firm belief that you are right just by looking at one end of the rope. It seems that I lack ability to be clear enough, since my initial point - we cry about the abuse and at the same time we abuse by setting up a new set of norms - is still eluding you, and for this I apologies. P.S. One more thing. I am not trying to change your beliefs, by adding more to the comments, I just wanted to say: look there are more vantage points, and it's up to you if you want to visit them.
"Still the blame remains"; the whole point is not to blame, but to try to understand by questioning why? What context led to this. Just by taking your word "dirty",historically, hygiene was (and sadly still is) a issue. We have antibiotics today, but before that infections and STDs were life threatening. I can go on, but I will stop, because this is not a place for religion or medical discussions. Going back to the drama; We ca try to make a complicated answer and drag along Confucianism, but let's choose the simple one. This is how the act of storytelling works, by being extravagant, epic, exaggerated, absurd, thrilling, emotionally exhausting, - insert your own word - and so on, otherwise we will find it boring. Sometimes the content fits and has coherence and sometimes.......... At the end of the day, dramas are for entertaining and not for replicate actual living.
Wow. Sex is not a sin, as no religion forbids it. Once again, it is just a tool and the way you use this tool can be seen as sinful. Everything that we know comes with to faces, a good one and a bad one, and it is up to us to decide which face we use. Yes, it can be a way of expressing love, but it can be a way of expressing frustration, or hate, or whatever. It can be present or not in any of the 5 ways that people love each other, for ex: not even the love between a parent and a child is not free of it. Furthermore if love between partners is based on more virtuous grounds, even the physical experience is more rewarding. You are blaming religion, society and whatever for shaming sex, without even understanding it, and you choose to shame the ones without it, like the part of the society who puts pressure on to "just do it". If we do position ourselves on the beautiful side of love and the beautiful side of expressing love through sex, we would have had a comment like: Did they never shared love till the age of 30, so that it can be expressed that way. You threw a stone and became nothing better then the religion or whatever you want to blame.
You do realize, that you are shuning some beliefs for your beliefs. This beliefs might(should) be wrong, but that doesn't make your beliefs right. There are 5 ways that people love each other, and the only virtuous one is not bounded by sex. Why? Because sex as a physical act is nothing more then exercise under influence and as a concept is about power (the only constants throughout history). And love doesn't equals power. I would say that the state of peace inward and outward is the most beautiful thing in the world. Love is just a passing emotion and physical love is a mere desire, so they need something else to get substance and value. They are just a tool, so let's not make a religion out of them, or the opposite. We often fail to realize that disliking something even if that something seems (is) toxic, is a personal shortcoming. Now, on a different note, being virgin at the age of 30 in a drama is just for creating tension in the mind of the viewer, and judging by your comment, they did their job.
This has to be the most frustrating kdrama I have watched so far. Why? It promised to be something more detailed in dealing with all the toxic ways that people love each other, but somehow fails to reach any target, and becomes some pulp fiction drama. It let me believe to be more then one main character orientated story, but no again, as the FL and her brother are just supporting characters in the end. It gave me hope that I can watch a drama that is different from all the cliches, but was just a smoke show.......
