in the last paragraph you came to the right track instead of the 2nd last paragraph, because if the ML & FL were shooting drama in the drama, they should have been in the set by wearing the costumes, instead they were in their casual dress. And when they crossed each other in front of the set, they crossed like strangers & it didn't look like they have seen each other ever before.
why they crossed in front of the set for the first? - I think in the background the shooting may be going on of this drama The Little Red Matchmaker only & in modern world they are shooting a drama which is just a fictional thing only, but the MLs & FLs are forever to destined to be together in human world or as immortals millions of years ago & in human world their first encounter was in front of the set.

Now I am in ep.6, loving the story, all the characters till now, but I have one small complain.
After every 5-10 minutes the story will shift from the current time to the flashback, after that for 5-10 minutes the story will continue in flashback & after that the story will shift to current time & again after 5-10 minutes around the story will shift back to flashbacks time which creates a little distraction for me because of continuous flashback.
Instead of the flashbacks the writer could have started the story from the school time.
