Good drama , but I had more expectations after watching the trailer & I thought it will be excellent drama , but not excellent , it's a good drama for me.
Why it is not up to my expectations & disappointed because-
1) He Simu had 22 lovers before & Duan Xu is her 23rd lover & it's special because He Simu was born with no 5 senses & Duan Xu being a mortal can transfer his senses with her who is immortal/spirit , which her past 22 lover couldn't. The sense will get transferred from him to her for 10 tens exactly & after that it will get transferred to him , but because of transfer it started backfiring in his body. Since Duan Xu can transfer senses with her being an mortal which her 22 lovers couldn't , that means there is something special in Duan Xu. But why it's Duan Xu & for what reason he is the single person being an mortal can transfer , but there was no reason or point in the story. The transfer of senses is not like it will get transferred automatically after a specific time whether they want or not. It's up to Duan Xu , whenever he wants, he can transfer it even if He Simu doesn't want , because since it backfires in his body & for her the person is more important , not the senses. But knowing it backfires in his body & it will kill him quickly , he still transfers it because he want to see her happy when she can feel a sense , but for a moment of happiness which will result him in dying quickly & will give 10 times more pain & heartbroken to the other person , what sense does it make I don't understand.
2) The deliverance sword after 300 years choose Duan Xu as it's master , so the sword should have supernatural power which it can get activated by Duan Xu & it will protect it's master in life & death situation. But there is nothing like that. The only thing it's special is that can hurt which are less powerful because he can fight against less powerful spirits , but against powerful spirit there is no point. If this sword doesn't have anything super power like He Simu's spirit lantern , than what is the use of the sword for Duan Xu which selected him as it's master after 300 years ??
3) Chengying is also mortal , but after he died in battle , the spirit lantern turned his spirit into human form. Since spirit lantern turned him into human form , after Duan Xu died , why the spirit lantern didn't turned his spirit into human form.
4) I was very excited about when I read the synopsis - a mortal & the spirit lord who can transfer senses because I thought they will be bonded with each other because of same magical or spiritual reason or soul bonding , but it's nothing like that.
Others may think I am giving hate to this drama. But it's nothing like that. It's a good category drama for me , not in excellent category.
I liked the drama & I will recommend watching. It's a happy ending drama , but after watching the last ep. I am disappointed & confused. Why I am disappointed & confused because when she transmigrated from 2026 to 1983 after she fell asleep I knew that in the last ep. she will wake up from the sleep & it will be like a real dream , but after few eps. it felt for me like maybe fate have given her second chance by having her reborn in the year 1983 by transmigrating her in the body of a girl whose name is same like her , but no , what I expected , it happened like that. If she may have transmigrated into a book whose character name have same name like her , then I wouldn't have been disappointed. But she got transmigrated in real life from 2026 to 1983 where she had mother , uncle , aunty , a nice family , made friends , met Zhou Cheng who fell in love with her & she also feel in love with him & they got married , became a successful businesswoman , but at last she again back to her real year 2026. If she is bound to come back to the year 2026 , than what's the point of going to the year 1983 , like fate have given her a second chance.
It is a simple & relaxing drama. Recommended watching. I don't understand , till now the chinese youth drama I have seen , why 95% of the parents of either the ML or FL or both , irritates me when the parents takes decisions what they want & says it's for their own good & the children will have to obey because they are parents. ML's mother has irritated me , but it for the first few eps. But FL's mother was too much.
I rewatched the alter ending. After rewatching it I was little confused.
In post credit the alternate ending was - " If the jinzhou massacre wouldn't have happened 17 years ago , how the characters life would have been. " . In post credit the ending is the alternate ending of the current original life of the characters. So in "IF" condition - [ #1 ] When Fan Changyu & Yu Qian Qian meet for the first time , they felt like they may know each other & they were maybe close friends in past life , & [ #2 ] When Qi Min & Yu Qian Qian meet for the first time , Qi Min felt connection with her , but after seeing her he started vomiting , because Qi Min things maybe they are never fated to be together. Both the "IF" conditions are alternate ending of the current life. So how they can feel connections with each other when they meet each other for the first time since it's their alternate current life only.
10/10 for me. Must watch drama. All the male (excluding Lord Li) & female leads were excellent. Lord Li character wasn't interesting for me. In the last ep. alternate ending, if the Jinzhou massacre wouldn't have happened, who would have been Wei Yan's wife (Xie Zheng's aunt) - Qi Rongyin or Lady Cui ?
