Yeah, they were one of the main ones up until maybe 2 years ago. Neko, alwaygrumpy and MUSE along with Thippy were my main sources for 95% of Thai Dramas. I think alwaysgrumpycat has a discord still though

We’ll likely see fan-subs for awhile yet then suddenly like Kdramas you might get a large company partner with them for worldwide distribution and widespread adoptions or the terrestrial channels in Thailand move toward providing subs. I’m hopeful, but fan-subs are the lifeline for now
Ohsweethaven sight down currently but watched the full raw episode on watchlakorn website
I'm hoping it was not taken down long-term as Thippy is one of the last remaining english subbers for Thai lakorns & dramas. The last few years many of the studios have been having sites taken down worldwide but not actually offering english distributions through official channels to take their place and other subbers have hung up their hats (retired) or left as well.
Its not in the best spot currently for those watching internationally and I am not sure why Thailand does not want to export shows outside of the immediate area with even the minimal effort. Its kind of similar to the pre-anime explosion decades ago or kdramas 15-20 years ago.
The original version is just too good. Honestly even though the male lead wasn't treated well throughout, the…
BL is popular on this site might be why and generally seems to receive the most attention for Thai Dramas versus the non-BL Lakorns as Thailand filled a niche with them other places were missing. I mostly watch romantic comedies and try to avoid melodrama with a couple of exceptions, if you want to check my ratings list for any 8-9 star recommendations as I have probably watched 200 Lakorns over the years.
Gina really proved her mettle as an actress in episode 7. Such a stellar portrayal of a mix of such messy emotions:…
I have never seen her before this drama but she is stellar so I'm adding her to the list of must watches for now for any new shows. For such a young actress she does great.
Techit looks like he's in high school and has a teenage boy voice. No way he's convincing as a serious and fierce…
He doesn't look too young to me, my issue with the character is that for someone who is in a leadership role this guy gets so easily mad (versus using his head at all) that he would pick a fight with a stop sign just because it told him to Stop. I can't take him as a cop seriously.
Felt bad for somika, you’better pet a snake 🐍 she was a lunatic and year 2022 still a lunatic 😂
(2014 verision) I felt bad the first few episodes where she got dumped by the uncle. She had a temper then but was also sweet to the doctor on the "dates" even though he was kind of just along for the ride. She seemed like she needed someone who cared between both the uncle and her dad being harsh so latched to him. Then she went crazy and I was like whelp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No fun police comment but that bit where they threated with a baseball bat in episode 4 is not funny. I'd be very much wtf at a friend for suggesting a joke like that in real life. Than again a drama will drama and people do dumb jokes in real life too, just not my cup of tea/sense of humor. Other than that I mostly like this drama so far as its been a pretty fun and a easy watch along with having slightly more mature but playful leads in their early-30s.
Not the character, that's the actress.I love her, probably in her contract - nails stay on.
I kind of view differences like that (long nails, many tattoos, unusual or distinct makeup, haircuts, eccentric clothing etc) as normally being used by the writers in a show/movie to express an aspect of a character in an easy/quick way to an audience if they want to set them apart or a distinct image for easy remembering early on. It could even be part of their characterization as a shortcut. Like one look at Luna Lovegood and you know before she speaks she is being written as an unconventional character not as constrained by conventions. This aspect does not have to be visual but it is an easy one so I expected the choice of long nails to be along those lines if on purpose (like a more severe personality (check)), but sometimes there really is not much in it like this one where it is just something she always has lol.
About to do a catch-up on this to episode 7 and had some questions (currently episode 2). I saw the Kimmy/James Ma version, is this one significantly different/how is it progressing? In the older version I originally felt bad for Sommika the first few episodes until she went too far but I also felt Anusaniya was being naïve and Sat could be not firm enough as well (a bit fine as the FL/ML was early-mid 20s in that one ignoring how young that is for a doctor). Is this version more mature for the leads, less melodrama?

I'll be honest, I was taken back by how long they were in the first episode or so. I just kept thinking about if I had nails like that I would poke my eye out or something or just somehow mess up with them. I ignored them after a episode or so but they definitely popped out to me. I also did not know it was the actress's thing to have them as I have not seen her in a show before so thanks for the info Anusaya!
However subbing stopped again. For this subber I normally check back every year or so

edit: I'm hoping this is just a temporary thing
