They have not uploaded anything new in about 2 months which is unusual. I am not sure what is going on but others may be more tuned in on if they are taking a break or have stopped subbing. Ohsweetheaven is one of the best subbers and one of the few left so I hope it is just a break.
If you just want to watch unsubbed old series you could likely do it now so long as you are okay with some compromises and have a decent gpu.
Versus subbing and timing by hand AI was able to handle probably 95% of the grunt work. With no editing most of mine were coming out well done enough to be okay for viewing and translation wise about 90% accurate. The human touch to clean them up was still needed but I can see a day in the next 5-10 years even that will mostly go away and this is just with public models. All this said most posted series are still fan subbed, I do think it is a good option for older shows that would never be subbed otherwise like you mentioned.
No, personally I have used an audio transcriber myself and whisper AI as Thai shows tend to run a lot of scrolling bottom ticker text if a Live TV capture unless you can get a clearscreen download. The text clutter tends to throw a slight wrench into OCR programs like VSX Subtitle Extraction that could be used to capture hard subs or close captions in another language so audio transcribe gives better results with less scrubbing to me. I then audio sync a bit of the text mostly around the text blocks with Subtitle Editor and some grammatical fixes as needed. When I looked at LP's it didn't need grammar fixes but was translated like someone who looked up the dictionary words but not the sentence flow and translated as-is making me think it was either a non-native maybe C1 English speaker translating or a program doing it. Some AI programs are decent even at how sentences are structured, Whisper AI is very good at translating then 1 hr of editing to make a 45 minute episode.
All this is just my $0.02 based off some personal hobby subs I did for older Jirayu shows like Buang Hong and Neung Nai Suang.
That is a common issue in the whole Lakorn space unfortunately. It used to be at least for the top ones Facebook fan groups would sub around like 2014-2020 but those got hit around the time Netflix started licensing stuff then we lost MUSE. It’s getting better again recently luckily.
Popular actor like you said but LP’s sub looks to be very literally translated while Thippy seems to be making theirs like normal speech so I expect lakornpixie is automating part of the translation and it doesn’t take away from time on other series.
I’m mostly just happy this season of Lakorns has multiple different series options as it’s been a desert lately of often months of few if any decent shows to watch (I know this is more of an opinion on my end).
Ohsweethaven is subbing, Lakorn Pixie is also subbing and it actually looks like two different subs for once. I'd go with Ohsweethaven if you can wait but LP if you can not and are a member.
I wish I could understand Thai. It’s hard to watch without English subs . I’ve watched up to episode 12 and…
This is a fansubbed drama, they did not stop subbing the show but it takes hours to do episodes and people have other obligations in life so running 2-3 episodes behind is perfectly understandable. Most Thai dramas I watch are only Eng Sub available due to fans and normally you can watch on the sub group's site like ohsweethaven who is subbing this one.

Very late but the first episode is 854 MB so about 2/3rds a compressed junk copy of x265 1080p for a plex server and half of a decent full-fat 720p stream. Hopefully your data plan worries have eased in the years since as I always hated when my providers had caps myself.

They can be rough and a little slow to post but I am glad they do provide some on YouTube.
My dream if I ever win the lottery would not just be the standard stuff but to finance a group of fellow thai drama nerds to sub/time releases. In many places you could hire like 50 people for ~$2M a year. The best use of my funds? Absolutely not. A guilty pleasure? For sure
I remember the original Mai and Weir. Not really a fan of the remake leads, but I might give it a try.By the way,…
I am going to answer in a couple of parts, and this is not extensive and also from the perspective of an English sub watcher from outside Southeast Asia.
1) Some of the prolific reliable subbers like famously MUSE left due to copyright, this push started like 5-7 years ago. Smaller subbers (some were college students initially) have slowly retired or moved on but very few have been replaced by new subbers emerging.
2) Thailand finally started exporting some dramas but their largest successful niche is BL dramas for english subs, you can see that switch in MDL thai drama popularity over the years. I think this is partially as that gap is easier to compete in than the well established (and funded) Kdramas and CDramas.
I almost want to say Netflix, as their entry into Kdramas and a few Cdramas was also around the time Thai subbers starting becoming an endangered species. Netflix also got involved with the existing official distributions and probably pressed on local companies to whack-a-mole the unofficial subs. That is just my tin-foil hat though.
Regardless I'm a bit concerned Thai Lakorns are going the way of early 2000s Japanese dramas, Taiwan dramas also used to be much more popular. You can talk about stuff like govt support/distribution/death of soap operas (sic)/torrent community fracturing etc but I truly do hope they regain popularity and hopefully official releases.
There are plenty of older ones but it seems to be a thing right now to have massive age gaps, the gap of some 40 to 54 yr olds would be large but not crazy. At a much younger age it is just gross, I say this as someone in their early 30s I would feel like a predator trying to date teens and in many areas you would be a predator. Even early 20s would be no go as there are plenty of people near my age without a 10 year life experience gap.
It’s mentioned early onYounger leads:FL is 19ML is 15Older Leads:FL is 26ML is 22I think I’m right not sure
For sure, in general it seems casting can be very “floaty” when it comes to matching things up. The good news is I am seeing more and more 30+ being cast in romantic roles that fit the scripts lately which is good news for my age group lol
she’s older and the age gap is 6 years. that’s normal , every k dramas have it too most of times
As someone in their 30s there is a large gap in maturity, life experiences, perspectives etc especially when younger for most people. I don't think a 6 year gap say for 29/35 or 45/39 matters too much especially the latter but early on many are still figuring themselves out, getting used to the world, changing perspectives and people are normally coming from different places in life and connecting is more difficult. I've had friends date people in their earlier/mid 20s and it is much harder than someone near your own age.
I feel age differences are brought up a lot in dramas be it here or Reddit and often social media will be more forgiving of large age differences and just wave it away but it is less common in real life for a reason and its not just exposure bias. This is not meant to discourage but also why some are uncomfortable within it, in this drama the ML looks older than his actual age so I don't even think about it too much and like you mention we have seen much larger ones in other dramas.

It mentioned it is 16 years later which matches up with their roles. realistically I do feel them being 31 & 35 works better since the FL has been getting directors to quit for several years by this point and ML has been on special tasks for his grandma digging through the company. In general I feel dramas tend to cast young especially when it comes to office romcoms or chaebal dramas so casting 7 years young doesn't surprise me.
In my company it would be Analyst 1, Analyst 2, Analyst 3, Senior Analyst, Lead, Mgr, Senior Mgr, Director, Exe. Director, VP etc and you are not running across directors before 37-38 minimum and leads are normally around ~30 yr old to start. Tech/real estate/banking etc all do stuff differently and the industry and company size matters a lot like our Executive Director leads 4k people in my slice of the business and I run across non-profit ones leading a department of 1 or bank VPs that are individual contributors and 25.
You can now find the eng sub on Lakornpixie (ep 1)
It was a miracle someone picked it up. I saw Grace in a couple of dramas years ago and marked this one while checking periodically for subs. I finally removed it like a month ago and what do you know! Maybe I should clean up some of my other old non-subbed series and they will be picked up lol.
Can't get rest of episodes only 10 episode present with English subtitles..can u help
This is a fan subber, basically they can release as they have time to translate and edit the sub timing. Normally several series at once are done and subbing is a hobby so it can be a few days to weeks behind the tv premieres.
If you like to binge watch you might want to check up in a month or so and it should be mostly done now that it is finished airing.
