I'm so glad you pointed this out! The ending really drove home the long-lasting impact of bullying and trauma, didn't it? It's not something that can just be erased or fixed by external changes.

And you're right, we do tend to forget the victim's pain when the bully undergoes a redemption arc. It's like, 'Oh, they've changed, so everything's okay now.' But that's not how it works.

The most frustrating thing is that this happens in real life too, it's not just fictional people we tend to forgive but real life celebrities as well! Especially BL Actors. I have had so many fights with people that just tend to demean a victims trauma after being bullied in school by a famous guy, they always say "it's a long time ago, they've changed now" as if they know the bully in person and are not blinded by their beauty or great PR team 🙄 (I just feel like we fail to create a safe space for victims to share their stories without fear of judgement or dismissal 😢)

I love how you put it - the memory of trauma isn't something that can just be reset like a happy, functioning normal kid again. It's a process, and a difficult one at that. And I think the show did a great job of showing that.

Se kyung was the final nail to that coffin when he refused to save a drowning boy at his last breath but .... he was the only one who noticed when Yi Heon was gone and when an imposter took his place, he was the only one (apart from kdp) who fought to bring Yi Heon back so I forgave him...gosh I think I'll be writing essays until I'm fully over this drama 😭😭😭😭

I mean personally weak hero will always be number 1 for me but I'm happy that we think HSROAG is worthy to be compared to such a great drama.

I skipped all his scenes 😅, I feel like I missed some of the plot in the last episode but I just can't stand his face...

still love the drama though, and that's cause like you said, he didn't have significant screen time.

he only said that to convince see kyung to try dating, you can see it, he's still trying to help him in various ways ... maybe if he told him double date then see kyung wouldn't be so opposed to the idea and even if he said double date we don't know the ages of the women he would date, they are in college after all and there are plenty mature women in college
